Function Nilan VPL 15-28 are active heat recovery units with cooling for extracting hot, humid air from kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, etc. Dust particles, moisture and smells are thus removed from the home, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate. The energy of the exhaust air is recovered and transferred to the inlet air by means of a heat pump capable of extracting energy direct from the exhaust air. The units can be supplied with a filter unit with built-in heat pipe, thus significantly reducing the need for post heating. The units can also be equipped with post-heating coils for connection to an electricity supply or the central heating system. In summer, the process is reversed and the incoming air is cooled. Nilan VPL 15-28 consist of two energy-efficient EC fans for inlet and exhaust respectively, a heat pump and a compressor. Nilan VPL 15-28 are equipped with four-step EC fans capable of providing up to 1000 m³/h (at 100 Pa). The units are operated via electronic CTS 600 control. All units are powder coated in white. The heat pipe is used as a pre-heat exchanger. The main advantage of using a heat pipe is that the need for post heating is significantly reduced, thus minimising operating costs. The heat pipe system is self regulating and has uniform recovery across the entire surface, eliminating the need for complex, energy-dependent defrosting and bypass systems.
