Diving Prelims (5 dives, cut to 20), Semis (8 dives, cut to 16), Finals (11 dives) Saturday, February 7th - Swimming 10:00 am – 11:50 a.m. 12:00 pm Swimming Warm-Ups Swimming – Timed Finals ENTRY FEES: $25 Minimum / $150 Maximum per team, based upon entries: $5 per individual, $10 per relay. Totals will be provided at the meet to include any alternates used. Please make checks payable to Grosse Pointe South Athletics. ENTRY PROCEDURE: Meet Packet, TM Event File, Psych Sheet, and Results found at: http://www.southswimming.com/. Swimming and Diving Entries: All entries are due Monday, February 2nd, 12:00 Noon. Please e-mail your team manager entry file to [email protected]. Please use the Team Manager Events file on the website, as it has all of the event time standards entered. Only times achieved during the current season and prior to the entry deadline may be used. Any school with individual qualifiers under the consideration time may enter relays. Only one relay per school per relay event may be entered. Please include relay names per state meet procedure. Make sure to include divers along with their two-meet 6-dive average in the Hy-tek file. Please Include: 1. Coaches contact info: Phone number and email address – on Hy-tek 2. Appropriate MHSAA school name/abbreviation/division from MHSAA website. 3. By 9:00 p.m. Monday, you will receive a confirmation of entries received. Coaches have until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday to reply with any corrections. Psych sheet will be posted online by 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. NO CHANGES TO ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER PSYCH SHEETS ARE POSTED. Diving Entries: Dive lists must be entered online at http://www.cleanentries.com/ by Monday at 12:00 Noon. Online registration for dive lists will open 14 days prior to the diving meet. Please follow the instructions on the website. Please ensure the divers name and the team name match what is in Hy-Tek Team Manager! Please make sure you are sending an 11 dive list with voluntary dives declared per the instructions. Changes can be made until 60 minutes before the start of prelims. Scratches: Please inform us by e-mail if you are scratching anyone so that an accurate heat sheet can be produced. Please send your scratches by 5:00 p.m. Friday. This will allow us to bring in alternates who have made the consideration times and contact their coach. Wayne County Championship Rules: To enter this meet, a school must be located within Wayne County as well as an M.H.S.A.A. participating school in Girls Swimming & Diving. M.H.S.A.A. rules will apply according to National Federation (Current Edition). Qualifying Times: Cuts were formulated in relation to the 2014 entry times using the power point table. Teams are allowed unlimited entries per individual event, provided each entry has met the qualifying standard. Individual events will be limited to the top-45 entries except in cases when more than 45 entries have met the automatic cut time. Consideration entries past the top 45 will be considered alternates, and will be given the opportunity to compete if there are any scratches in their event. We will only charge for entries that make it in to the meet under the automatic cut or in the top-45. Entry fees for events scratched after psych sheets are posted will still be charged. Totals will be provided at the meet to include any alternates used. Relays: *There are not qualifying times for relays. Relay entries will be allotted to any school with at least one individual swimmer qualified under a WC-C consideration cut. Each school meeting this criteria will be allowed one “A” relay entry for each relay event. Please include an entry time with your relays for seeding. Relay names will be due per state meet policy. Diving: entries must qualify with a 6-dive 2-meet average of 92.50. Diving will limited to the top-40 entries based on that average. Cuts will be made to the top-20 after 5 dives. After 8 dives, the top-16 divers will complete their final 3 dives. AWARDS: ü ü ü ü Top-16 Championship scoring will be used. A plaque will be awarded to the championship team. Medals will be awarded to the top 8 places for individuals and top 3 for relays. The coach of the winning swimmer or relay will present medals after the last heat of the subsequent event. A swimmer of the meet will be selected and will receive a medal based on NISCA power points. FACILITY: ü ü ü ü Grosse Pointe South’s natatorium is located in the John & Marlene Boll Athletic Center. The pool is 12.5 lanes x 25 yards with two 1M diving boards. 9 lanes (1-9) will be used for this meet, allowing each event to be completed in 5 timed-final heats. 3 lanes will be available for continuous warm-up during the meet. Sprint lanes will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the meet. The pool will be cleared 10 minutes prior to the start of the meet. PROGRAMS: Meet Programs (heat sheets) will be sold for $5 each. CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available upstairs on the mezzanine behind the spectator area. HOSPITALITY: Hospitality for coaches and officials will be provided on the pool deck level. PARKING: Parking is available along the football field next to Fisher Rd. (North-West of Natatorium). FACILITY NOTES: ü NO shaving down of any kind in facility. ü Noisemakers and flash photography are prohibited. ü There will be no oils, lotions, or food allowed on the pool deck or in the locker rooms. ü Please do not leave valuables in lockers. Neither officials nor any coaches/administrators will be held responsible for lost or stolen items. ü Seating in the upstairs bleachers will be available on a first come first serve basis. Saving seats is NOT allowed. Do NOT sit in the stairways; this is considered a fire hazard. ü Bleacher seating will be provided on the pool deck for team use. Teams are responsible to clean up their area before leaving the facility. ü Warm-up will be allowed during the meet in lanes provided near the diving well.
