Bronco Travel Basketball Club Tournament 2015 Registration Deadline: February 1, 2015 or until full The Bronco Travel Basketball Club invites your teams to be a participant in our 2015 Travel Basketball Tournament for Girls and Boys competing in the 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade groups. We guarantee four games to all teams with awards for the first and second place teams in each grade group. Please join us for an exciting fun filled weekend of non-stop hoop action. When: February 14-15 Boys 3rd/4th, 5th/6th & 7th/8th February 21-22 Girls 3rd/4th, 5th/6th & 7th/8th Time: Games will start 8 am each day and will go as long as it takes to get all games completed. Each team will play 3 Round Robin games Saturday, with the single elimination tournament starting on Sunday. Awards ceremony immediately following Championship Game. Teams must be uniformly colored and have numbered shirts. Each Tournament Entry is on a first come, first paid basis, with space limited to the first 14 (up to 16) boys and girls teams in the 5th/6th grade group, the first 8 teams in the 7th & 8th grade division and the first 8 teams in the 3rd/4th grade division. There will be daily and family rates to make admissions fees as affordable as possible for all. Players and up to 2 coaches will be admitted free to the tournament each day. Please be certain to stop by the admission area and be stamped each day. The Bronco Travel Basketball Club is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Full Concessions will be available both days at the gym. Excellent food at very affordable prices. Concessions will include several homemade lunch/dinner options, pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, chips, snack food, and beverages. All Concession Proceeds Benefit the Bronco Travel Basketball Club. SPORTSMANSHIP is PRIORITY #1. Disorderly actions of any kind WILL NOT BE TOLERATED by anyone. Remember this game is for the kids! We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to the behavior of parents, fans, and coaches. General Tournament Rule All round robin games will be played as 20 minute running time, stopped time last two minutes of each half. There will be no overtime games played during round robin play. If during the round robin portion of play, the tournament falls behind schedule, the tournament committee has the right to adjust the format of play to 16 minute running time to get the tournament back on schedule. Once back on schedule, we will revert back to the format of play for the round robin portion of the tournament. 3rd and 4th Grade Rules Sunday’s Single Elimination Games will consist four 7 minute stopped time quarters. During Single Elimination Play, overtime will be 3 minutes in length and will be started with a jump ball Games will be played on 10 ft. hoops A 12 ft. foul line will be available Teams must use man-to-man defense only. No zone defense or double-teaming outside the paint. Violations will be called and if violations continue a personal foul will be called. There will be no pressing allowed. The backcourt line is the extended line of the foul line on the opposite side of the court in which your team is shooting. Ball Size: Will be played with a 28.5” Ball Each team will be allowed the following timeouts: 1 thirty second (30) timeout per half, 2 sixty second (60) timeout Per Half and 1 additional sixty second (60) Timeout for overtime. Timeouts do not carry over from half to half or half to overtime All other rules of the game will apply. 5th and 6th Grade Rules Single Elimination Games will consist of four 8 minute stopped time quarters with a 5 minute pre-game and 5 minutes for halftime. Any games going into overtime will be 5 minutes in length and will be started with a jump ball. Ball Size: Will be played with a 28.5” Ball. Pressing: No pressing is allowed in the first half. Defense: Open play with all defensive schemes allowed. (except there is still no pressing in first half) In the second half when a team is ahead by more than 10 points, then the team with the lead will no longer be allowed to full court press. Each team will be allowed the following timeouts: 1 thirty second (30) timeout per half, 2 sixty second (60) timeout Per Half and 1 additional sixty second (60) Timeout for overtime. Take a left off exit and head down the Coldbrook road. At lighted intersection (RT. 202 and Coldbrook Road) continue straight through lights. At the end of the road turn right onto main street (RT. 1 a). Continue on Main Road to set of lights (RT. 1 A and RT. 9). Irving will be off to your left hand side and Dunkin Donuts on your right. Continue straight through the lights. About 1/4 of a mile on the Right side is the entrance to Weatherbee School. Access to gym will be middle doors beside the gym. Hampden Rec Center will be on your left, just past the Weatherbee School. And Reeds Brook will be just past the Rec Center on the right, with the entrance to Reeds Brook Middle School gym all the way to the left and to the back of the school.
