Vereinsnachrichten / Club News — APRIL 2014
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
April, April,
Doesn't know what he wants!
Sometimes rain and sometimes sunshine
Then it's hail in between!
April, April,
Doesn't know what he wants.
Now see, now see,
How it storms and blows!
And now, oh dear, oh dear
Thick snow is here!
April, April,
Doesn't know what he wants!
April, April,
der weiss nicht, was er will!
Mal Regen und mal Sonnenschein,
dann hagelt's wieder zwischendrein.
April, April,
der weiss nicht, was er will!
Nun seht, nun seht,
wie's wieder stürmt und weht,
und jetzt, oh weh, oh weh!
Da fällt schon wieder dicker Schnee!
April, April,
der weiss nicht, was er will!
Dear members,
As you heard at the March monthly meeting, the snow removal prices were extraordinary! Ewald and I have
also discussed the increase in the food and beverages prices from our distributors. The Vorstand discussed these
issues, among others, and made some difficult decisions.
• Beginning on the first of June, the Saturday evening admission for members will increase to $5.00;
non-members will remain at $8.00.
• Food and liquor prices will most likely increase. We are still in the talking stages.
• New members inducted in October will pay a membership fee of $80.00. "Old" (present) members will
pay the increased membership fee in January, 2015.
The following year the membership dues will increase to $100.00.
We hope that these increases will help our profit and loss statements. We also hope that you understand these
decisions by the Vorstand. We want to keep our club a strong and financially sound organization so that we can
continue to enjoy the Deutscher Club for a very long time!!
With kind regards, The Executive Board with Sigrid Pagano, President

Party Time!
Thinking of having a party without the work and hassle? Why not have it at the Deutscher Club?? Last year, many of
our members took advantage of our facilities and held their parties at the club; the feedback has been very positive. Our
prices are competitive and we strive to please everyone.
If interested, please e-mail manager Ewald at [email protected] or call the clubhouse. We cater showers,
birthdays, graduation, anniversaries, etc.; you name it, we can cater it!!

volunteer positions that need to be filled in order to make the great Festivals and Biergartens run smoothly. The
