Politische Situation / situation politique / political situation in Thailand
Aufgrund der aktuellen Krise in Thailand machen wir Sie auf unsere Reisehinweise aufmerksam, die
wir ständig anpassen: www.eda.admin.ch/bangkok
Die Androhung der oppositionellen Demonstranten, ab 13.1. ganz Bangkok zu einem Stillstand zu
bringen, lässt ungewiss, welche Konsequenzen dies haben wird. Im Moment ist es schwierig
abzuschätzen, wie der Zugang zu den Flughäfen gewährleistet wird. Beschränken Sie Transfers in
Bangkok auf das notwendige Minimum. Im Falle von Verkehrsbehinderungen wird Reisenden
empfohlen, sich lokal über alternative Reisemöglichkeiten zu erkundigen und gegebenenfalls die
Normalisierung der Lage abzuwarten. Die schweizerische Botschaft in Bangkok hat bei
Verkehrsbehinderungen nur eng begrenzte - je nach Situation gar keine - Möglichkeiten zur
Unterstützung bei der Aus- oder Weiterreise. Kontaktieren Sie in Notfällen die Botschaft +66 2674
6900 oder die Helpline in Bern +41 (0)800 24 7 365. Die Botschaft bleibt normal geöffnet.

Les manifestants de l'opposition menacent de forcer Bangkok à un arrêt complet, à partir du 13
janvier; ceci laisse incertaines les conséquences qui en découleraient. Il est à l'heure actuelle difficile
d'estimer dans quelle mesure l'accès à l'aéroport serait réduit. Veuillez s’il vous plaît limiter vos
déplacements à Bangkok à un minimum. Si des troubles venaient à perturber le trafic, il est
recommandé aux voyageurs de se renseigner sur place sur les autres possibilités de déplacement et
d’attendre, le cas échéant, que la situation se normalise. En cas de perturbations du trafic, il est très
difficile à l’Ambassade de Suisse à Bangkok – voire impossible selon la situation – d’aider les
ressortissants suisses à quitter le pays ou à poursuivre leur voyage. En cas de situation d'urgence,
veuillez contacter l'Ambassade au +66 2674 6900 ou la "Helpline" à Berne au +41 (0)800 24 7 365.
L'Ambassade reste ouverte normalement.

It is yet unknown what consequences the threats by the anti-Government protesters to paralize all of
Bangkok starting on January 13, will have. At the moment, it is difficult to assess whether or not the
airports wilI remain accessible. Keep your transfers within Bangkok to the necessary minimum.
In the event of potential traffic obstructions, we advise all travelers to inform themselves about
alternative routes and to wait for a normalization of the situation. In the event of traffic obstructions, the
Swiss Embassy in Bangkok only has very limited, if any, possibilities to assist with the departure out of
Thailand or continuation of your journey. Please contact the Embassy +66 2674 6900 or the Helpline

Besuch der Schweizer Stiftung “Le Sourire de Chiang Khong“
Die Schweizer Botschafterin besuchte, zusammen mit der norwegischen und argentinischen
Botschafterin und begleitet von 19 thailändischen Senatoren, die Schweizerin Barbara Gautschi, die
mit Khun Prapapone die Stiftung „Le Sourire de Chiang Khong“ gegründet hat und nun leitet. Die
Einrichtung, die 120 Kindern ein Daheim bietet, beeindruckte einmal mehr aufgrund der sehr guten
Betreuung der Kinder, welche aus den umliegenden Dörfern aus armen Familien stammen. Viele
konnten vor Menschenhandel oder vor Drogenhändlern bewahrt werden. Botschafterin Schraner
überreichte bei dieser Gelegenheit den Erlös aus dem Tombola-Verkauf von der 1.August-Feier über
THB 55‘000.
Wir gratulieren Frau Gautschi und Khun Prapapone für ihren tollen Einsatz zu Gunsten des Schutzes
von Kindern.

Neujahrsansprache von Bundespräsident Didier Burkhalter
Bern, 01.01.2014
Deborah, Niklaus, Selina, und Timo, Stefanie und Dominique sind wie alle Jugendlichen, die hier erwähnt werden,
Lernende im Eidgenössischen Departement für auswärtige Angelegenheiten. Sie leben in der Schweiz und ihr
Blick zeigt die Schweiz als Teil der Welt. Als eine Schweiz der Jugend, der Arbeit und der Öffnung. Und
zusammen mit diesen jungen Schweizern spreche ich heute zu Ihnen.
Meine Damen und Herren, liebe Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger
Ein Staat ist eine Schicksalsgemeinschaft. Zu seinen Aufgaben gehört, der Bevölkerung und insbesondere auch
der Jugend Zukunftsperspektiven zu eröffnen. Diese Aufgabe nimmt die Schweiz wahr. In der Schweiz finden die
meisten Jugendlichen nach Abschluss der Ausbildung einen Arbeitsplatz. Anderswo ist die Jugend gezwungen,
im Ausland Arbeit zu suchen.
Die Schweiz ist erfolgreich, weil sie auf liberalen Idealen gründet und über ein gutes Ausbildungssystem verfügt.
Der universitäre Weg und die Berufslehre ergänzen sich in idealer Weise und werden durch eine kreative
Wirtschaft unterstützt. . Diese Wirtschaft verdankt ihre Dynamik und Prosperität auch der massvollen Öffnung,
wie uns dies schon die Geschichte lehrt: Das Salz - unabdingbar für die erfolgreiche Viehzucht - stammte schon
im Mittelalter, zu Zeiten Wilhelm Tells, unter anderem aus Tunesien und kam via die Handelsrouten in unsere
Gefilde.
Heute wird jeder zweite Schweizerfranken im Ausland verdient und zwei Drittel davon im benachbarten Europa.
Die angrenzenden Regionen sind nach wie vor unsere ersten Handelspartner, weit vor Wirtschaftsgiganten wie
China, Brasilien oder den Vereinigten Staaten. Diese Staaten sind für unseren Handel wichtig. Sie ergänzen die
Handelsbeziehungen mit unseren Nachbarn in der Europäischen Union. Sie können sie aber nicht ersetzen.
Mit Europa teilen wir auch unsere Werte. Und mit Europa bilden wir einen Raum der Sicherheit und des Friedens
im Dienste aller hier lebenden Menschen. Der eingeschlagene bilaterale Weg – der Weg der Schweiz –, sichert
unserem Land Wohlstand und Unabhängigkeit. Der Bundesrat will diesen bilateralen Weg weiter gehen, ihn
erneuern und auf diese Weise der Schweiz und ihren künftigen Generationen Zukunftsperspektiven erhalten und
neue eröffnen.
Das Herzstück unserer Aktivitäten 2014 ist die Schweiz und die Welt. Dabei stellen wir die Jugend, die Arbeit und
die Öffnung in den Mittelpunkt. Das steht im Einklang mit unserer Verfassung. Wie es in dieser heisst, wollen wir
die Freiheit, die Demokratie, die Unabhängigkeit und den Frieden stärken - solidarisch und offen gegenüber der
Welt. Die Schweiz ist ein eigentlicher Glücksfall, weil sich die Interessen der Schweiz - Sicherheit,
Unabhängigkeit und Wohlfahrt - mit der Förderung der schweizerischen Werte wahren lassen. Dies sind
- die Friedensbemühungen, die die Welt in Genf unternimmt,
- unsere Demokratie, die im Ausland oft als beispielhaft bezeichnet wird,
- die Menschenrechte, da die Schweiz ein Land der Freiheiten ist,
- die humanitäre Tradition, die seit Henri Dunant zu unserem Land gehört
- und der sorgfältige Umgang mit der Umwelt in einem Land, das arm an Bodenschätzen, aber reich an
Naturschönheiten ist.
Die Schweiz und die Welt... Die Schweiz mit ihren ewig jungen Werten, ihrer Arbeitskultur und ihrer Offenheit.
Und die Welt, die im Banne der Globalisierung um ihr Gleichgewicht kämpft. Die Schweiz und die Welt sind sich
nicht fremd. Sie sind wie der See und der Himmel, sie sind wie der Himmel und die Alpen. Sie treffen am Horizont
aufeinander und schaffen neue Perspektiven. Die Qualität dieser Beziehungen zwischen der Schweiz und der
Welt bestimmt unsere Zukunftsperspektiven.
Sie bestimmt die Aussichten auch von Deborah und Niklaus, Selina und Timo, Stefanie und Dominique und
unserer gesamten Jugend. Danke, dass Sie an der Zukunft der Schweiz mitwirken. Ihnen allen wünsche ich ein
gutes neues Jahr.

Allocution du 1er janvier du Président de la Confédération

Deborah, Niklaus, Selina, ou encore Timo, Stefanie ou Dominique, et tous ces beaux visages: ils sont jeunes en
Suisse ; et ils sont apprentis au Département des affaires étrangères. Leurs regards sont autant de lumières de la
Suisse dans le monde : par leur jeunesse, par leur travail et par leur ouverture. Et c’est avec eux que j’aimerais
vous parler aujourd’hui.
Mesdames et Messieurs, Chères concitoyennes et chers concitoyens,
Un pays est une communauté de destin. Il trouve sa raison d’être dans sa capacité à ouvrir des perspectives
d’avenir. C’est le cas en Suisse.
Après une bonne formation, les jeunes peuvent accéder à un travail. Notre pays crée des emplois, attire les
jeunes ; alors qu’ailleurs, le chômage est tel que des régions entières voient leur jeunesse les quitter.
Notre Suisse est ainsi forte parce qu’elle repose sur un Etat libéral ; parce qu’elle dispose d’un système de
formation efficace - qui a su additionner les atouts de la voie universitaire et de l’apprentissage dual - ; et parce
qu’elle peut compter sur notre économie créatrice… Une économie qui puise son dynamisme dans l’ouverture
bien maîtrisée du pays, dans son histoire aussi : la Suisse a toujours été un pays de commerce. Le sel
indispensable à l’élevage au Moyen-âge déjà, le sel des étables de Guillaume Tell, arrivait notamment de Tunisie
par les routes marchandes.
Aujourd’hui, notre commerce avec le monde représente un franc sur deux gagné en Suisse, dont les deux-tiers
avec nos voisins d’Europe. Les régions frontalières sont nos premiers partenaires commerciaux, loin devant des
géants comme la Chine, le Brésil ou même les Etats-Unis. Ces géants sont certes importants ; mais ils ne
peuvent que compléter, et non remplacer les relations essentielles que nous avons avec nos voisins de l’Union
européenne.
C’est d’ailleurs aussi avec l’Europe que nous partageons nos valeurs. Et c’est encore avec l’Europe que nous
formons une communauté de sécurité et de paix au service de tous. La voie de la Suisse en Europe – la voie
bilatérale – a permis d’assurer la prospérité et l’indépendance du pays. Le Conseil fédéral veut rénover cette voie
bilatérale pour pouvoir la poursuivre. Pour pouvoir continuer d’ouvrir des perspectives au pays et aux générations
futures.
La Suisse et le monde, par la jeunesse, le travail et l’ouverture : c’est le cœur de notre action en 2014. Un cœur
qui bat au rythme de la Constitution fédérale, un cœur qui veut – comme cette Constitution – « renforcer la liberté,
la démocratie, l'indépendance et la paix dans un esprit de solidarité et d'ouverture au monde, … ».
La Suisse est un miracle ; car la défense de ses intérêts – la sécurité, l’indépendance et la prospérité – peut se
faire par la promotion de ses valeurs : la paix, que l’on vient chercher à Genève ; la démocratie, qui, à l’étranger,
prend souvent les couleurs de la Suisse ; les droits de l’homme, parce que la Suisse est une terre de libertés ; la
tradition humanitaire, ancrée dans ce pays depuis Henri Dunant ; et le respect de la nature, dans une terre
pauvre en ressources mais infiniment riche en beauté.
La Suisse et le monde… La Suisse, avec de telles valeurs éternellement jeunes, avec sa culture du travail, avec
son caractère ouvert… Le monde, tournant au rythme de la globalisation et cherchant sans cesse son équilibre…
La Suisse et le monde ne sont pas des étrangers l’un pour l’autre. Ils sont comme le lac et le ciel, ou comme le
ciel et les alpes. Ils se rejoignent à l’horizon pour créer de nouvelles perspectives. De la qualité de ces relations
entre la Suisse et le monde, dépendront en fin de compte nos perspectives d’avenir. De la qualité de ces relations
dépendra la lumière à l’horizon, la lumière dans les regards de Deborah et Niklaus, de Selina et Timo, de Stefanie
et Dominique ; dans le regard de toute la jeunesse de notre beau pays. Merci de faire équipe pour l’avenir du
pays. Et très belle année à toutes et tous !

Discorso del 1° gennaio del presidente della Confederazione

Deborah, Niklaus, Selina e ancora Timo, Stefanie o Dominique; questi giovani vivono in Svizzera e seguono un
apprendistato presso il Dipartimento federale degli affari esteri: grazie a loro, al loro lavoro e alla loro apertura, i
loro sguardi sono luci della Svizzera che risplendono in tutto il mondo.
Signore e signori, care cittadine e cari cittadini,
un Paese è una comunità di destini, la cui ragion d'essere sta nella capacità di creare prospettive future. E la
Svizzera ne è capace.
Con una buona formazione, i giovani riescono ad accedere al mondo del lavoro. Il nostro Paese crea opportunità
lavorative e attira le giovani leve, non come in altre realtà, dove la disoccupazione è altissima e i giovani sono
costretti a migrare.
I punti di forza della nostra Svizzera sono molteplici: essere uno Stato liberale, disporre di un sistema di
formazione efficace che ha saputo coniugare le opportunità del sistema universitario e del sistema duale della
formazione professionale, e poter contare su un'economia creativa.
Un'economia che attinge il proprio dinamismo dall'apertura ben modulata del Paese, da sempre dedito al
commercio: il sale, bene indispensabile nell'allevamento già in epoca medioevale, il sale delle stalle di Guglielmo
Tell, proveniva dalla Tunisia e giungeva in Svizzera attraverso le vie del commercio.
Un franco su due guadagnato in Svizzera proviene dagli scambi commerciali con il resto del mondo, che per due
terzi si svolgono con i nostri vicini in Europa. Le regioni frontaliere sono i nostri principali partner commerciali, con
un distacco notevole su giganti come Cina, Brasile o Stati Uniti, Paesi certo importanti, ma il cui contributo è solo
complementare e non sostitutivo delle relazioni fondamentali che intratteniamo con i nostri vicini dell' UE.
È del resto con l'Europa che condividiamo i nostri valori, ed è sempre con l'Europa che formiamo una comunità di
sicurezza e pace al servizio di tutti. La via bilaterale intrapresa dalla Svizzera in Europa garantisce prosperità e
indipendenza al nostro Paese: il Consiglio federale intende pertanto rinnovarla e proseguire su questa strada per
assicurare anche in futuro nuove prospettive al Paese e alle prossime generazioni.
La Svizzera e il mondo attraverso i giovani, il lavoro e l'apertura: è questo il cuore della nostra azione nel 2014, un
cuore che batte al ritmo della Costituzione federale, un cuore che, proprio come la nostra Costituzione, vuole
«rafforzare la libertà e la democrazia, l'indipendenza e la pace, in uno spirito di solidarietà e di apertura al
mondo». La Svizzera è un miracolo, perché la tutela dei suoi interessi, tra cui sicurezza, indipendenza e
prosperità, si basa sulla promozione dei suoi valori: la pace, per la quale ci battiamo a Ginevra; la democrazia,
che all'estero veste spesso i colori del nostro Paese; i diritti umani, perché la Svizzera è terra di libertà; la
tradizione umanitaria, radicata nel nostro Paese dai tempi di Henri Dunant; il rispetto della natura, in una terra
povera di materie prime, ma straordinariamente bella.
La Svizzera e il mondo: la Svizzera, con i suoi valori eternamente giovani, la sua cultura del lavoro, il suo
carattere aperto. E il mondo, che gira al ritmo della globalizzazione alla ricerca incessante di un equilibrio.
La Svizzera e il mondo non sono estranei l'una all'altro: sono come il lago e il cielo, o come il cielo e le Alpi. Si
incontrano all'orizzonte per creare nuove prospettive. Ed è proprio dalla qualità delle relazioni tra la Svizzera e il
mondo che dipenderà in definitiva il nostro futuro. Dalla qualità di queste relazioni dipenderà la luce che vedremo
brillare negli occhi di Deborah e Niklaus, Selina e Timo, Stefanie e Dominique, come negli sguardi di tutti i giovani
del nostro bel Paese. Ringrazio tutti voi per il contributo che date al futuro del nostro Paese e auguro a tutti buon
2014.

Biometrisches Visum in Kambodscha und Laos
Biometrisches Visum: Visavertretung für die Schweiz durch Französische Botschaften in
Kambodscha und Laos
Seit Einführung des biometrischen Schengenvisums am 14. November 2013 müssen alle Visakunden
für die Abgabe der Biometriedaten persönlich bei unserer Botschaft vorsprechen. Um den Kunden in
Laos und Kambodscha die Anreise nach Bangkok zu ersparen, hat die Eidgenossenschaft ein
Visavertretungsabkommen mit Frankreich abgeschlossen. Ab dem 15. Januar 2014 kann sich ein in
Laos oder Kambodscha wohnhafter Antragssteller grundsätzlich für alle Visakategorien an die
Französische Botschaft in Vientiane beziehungsweise Phnom Penh wenden. Genauere Informationen

Biometric Visa: Visa Representation for Switzerland by the French Embassy in Cambodia and
Laos.
Since the implementation of the biometric Schengen visa on November 14, 2013, all visa applicants
must appear personally at our Embassy for the capturing of their biometric data. In order to spare the
applicants in Laos and Cambodia the trip to Bangkok, the Swiss Confederation has concluded a Visa
Representation Agreement with France. As of January 15, 2014, applicants for, in principle all
categories of visas, living in Laos or Cambodia, can contact the French Embassy in Vientiane and

Visa biométrique: représentation de la Suisse par l’Ambassade de France au Cambodge et au
Laos
Depuis l’introduction des visas Schengen biométriques le 14 novembre 2013, chaque personne doit
se rendre personnellement auprès de notre ambassade pour y déposer ses données biométriques.
Afin d’éviter aux clients venant du Cambodge et du Laos de devoir se déplacer à Bangkok, la
Confédération a conclu un accord pour la représentation dans le domaine des visas avec la France.
Dans ce sens, et à partir du 15 janvier 2014, une personne résidant au Cambodge ou au Laos pourra
s’adresser, en principe pour tout type de visa, à l’Ambassade de France à Phnom Penh,
respectivement à Vientiane. De plus amples informations à ce sujet se trouvent sur le site internet

Introduction and Event Calendar 2014 of Swiss Society Clubs in THA
Dear Readers,
Last year, the Presidents of 4 Swiss Society Clubs met in Phuket and wished to present themselves
again with their 2014 activities in the monthly newsletter by the Embassy of Switzerland. We thank
Mrs. Christine Schraner Burgener, the Swiss Ambassador to Thailand to include the event calendar in
the first newsletter of the year 2014.
Swiss Society Bangkok
The Swiss Society Bangkok, founded in 1931, is a non-political, non-profit association of Swiss
Nationals and friends of Switzerland, residing in Thailand. It counts currently over 250 members, who
are regularly enjoying various events.

The Swiss Lanna Society Chiang Mai was founded in early 2012 and counts already over 210

Mauro Monti Combo Project is a new band composed with top musicians, quite well known
in the Bangkok jazz scene. The repertoire includes original compositions influenced mainly
by jazz funk grooves but also swing rhythms that truly seduce the ear.
Mauro Monti is a Swiss pianist and jazz educator with more than 20 years
experience. He has released an original recording “The Box Of Memories” and
he has performed in Switzerland and across Europe with great Swiss and
international musicians like Flavio Boltro, Furio Di Castri, Roberto Gatto, Mike
Richmond and Adam Nussbaum, just to mention a few. Since 2007 Mauro lives
in Bangkok. He teaches piano, jazz arranging and composition at
Mahidol College Of Music and performs in the main jazz venues in
town.
Dan Phillips is a guitarist, composer, band leader and jazz educator
from Chicago, graduated at Berklee College of Music, living in Bangkok and teaching at the
Silpakorn University. His Chicago based Trio has released 3 original recordings “Journey in
Mind”, “Moment of Clarity” and “Destination Unknown”. He has appeared at the Montreal
Jazz festival, Pattaya Music Festival, Hua-Hin jazz festival, Asikaga City jazz festival in
Japan and many other festivals and jazz clubs in US.
Dome Hayodom is a well known bassist of Bangkok, with a unique sound and groove.
He has played with the late Somjate, a renowned jazz guitarist and one of the earliest
exponents of jazz in Thailand, and he has also performed with the late Aj. Arnon
Sirisombatvattana, another legendary jazz exponent. Dome has appeared in the Hua-Hin jazz festival,
Thailand jazz festival and in many other jazz clubs in Thailand.
Milk Annawin Kerdteesud is a young talented saxophonist completing is Master degree in jazz
studies at Mahidol College of Music. In addition of conducting the Big Band at the College, Milk
appears with small bands as a leader or sideman and performs weekly
at the Saxophone Pub, the most popular jazz club in town.
Pong Nakomchai became a “first call” drummer after completing his
Bachelor Degree atMahidol College of Music. His playing describes a
natural talent in both Latin and Swingrhythms. In addition he uses an
original combination of futures that make his sound unique.
Pong has appeared in many jazz venues of Bangkok.

Interview with Mauro Monti, Swiss Jazz Musician
1. Mauro, what brought you to Thailand in the first place?
Why Thailand and not another place?
I came for the first time to Thailand for my holiday in 2000
and I immediately liked the atmosphere, the people, the
food and the beaches. I had a chance to play in some jam
sessions with local and international musicians and we
became friends. After that I came to Thailand every Year
for my holiday and I started to perform in some jazz bars
and Hotels. In 2007 I decided to move here.
2. How is life as a musician in Thailand?
For my personal experience, it's fine. I share my activities
between teaching piano and performing. However, some
musicians don't have enough job. I think It depends also
on the instrument that you play. There is one thing that I
really like about Thai people: they have appreciation and consideration for musicians. That makes me
feel good!
3. There seems to be a lively jazz scene in Thailand, and Bangkok in particular. Any room for more? Do
you see any development?
In Bangkok you can find a lot of jazz "entertainment" in pubs, restaurants, Hotels and that is good.
What I miss sometimes it's a more artistic approach to jazz.
However, things are developing. There are more and more students who graduate in music and this
will contribute to a better music scene.
4. What is the Combo Project about (concert at the Swiss Embassy on 15 January 2014)?
My Combo Project comes from the need of doing something more authentic and creative in jazz. I
composed a new repertoire, I selected the musicians that I like and we rehearsed together for about
two months. That's why I use the term "Project". It is something that you conceive and you build. Each
rehearsal becomes a workshop where every musician brings its own experience and ideas.
I really love working in that way. It makes me feel a complete artist. Hope you will enjoy our music.

Curriculum vitae: Mauro Monti
Pianist, composer, band leader and jazz educator, born in 1965 in Locarno, Switzerland.
Spoken languages: Italian, French and English.
Mauro Monti has graduated at the EJMA School of Jazz and Contemporary Music of LausanneSwitzerland and at the CPM Professional Music Institute of Milan-Italy. In addition, he has completed a
music pedagogy course at the Conservatory of Lausanne. To further his experience, he follows master
classes and private lessons in Europe and in the United States with well-known jazz musicians like
Kenny Werner, Richie Beirach, Mitchel Forman, Mike Richmond, Ray Anderson, Enrico
Pieranunzi and others.
Mauro begins his carrier as a piano instructor in Switzerland and as a performer musician across
Europe, Middle East and Thailand. In 1996, he records his first CD “The Box Of Memories” with the
extraordinary collaboration of Furio di Castri on double bass and Roberto Gatto on drums. The CD
containing 10 of his original compositions receives excellent reviews from both press and radio.
Since 2007, he is living and performing in Thailand and he is teaching piano, jazz arranging,
composition and jazz pedagogy at the Mahidol University College of Music of Bangkok and Salaya
campus.
Mauro has developed a piano style that is inspired by great jazz masters like Bill Evans, Herbie
Hancock, Chick Corea.... In ballads the listener feels poetic lyricism, as well as, an energetic strength
and virtuosity in swing and groovy pieces. His style, reflects an ideal balance between musicality and
technique, which truly seduces the audience.
Mauro has played as a leader, sideman or in jam sessions with Swiss and international musicians
such as: Furio Di Castri (I), Roberto Gatto (I), Robin Kenyatta (USA), Jeff Richman (USA), Flavio
Boltro (I), Michel Benita (F), Marcel Papaux (CH), Mike Richmond (USA), Adam Nussbaum (USA),
Bruce Forman (USA), Brian Bromberg (USA) and many others.
In 2008, Mauro published the book “The Basics Of The Piano Didactic” (in italian) which is without
doubt an important representation of his career and pedagogic experience.
This month’s interview was conducted by Mr. Viktor Vavricka, Deputy Head of Mission and Minister at
the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand.
