Revised 05/05/2014 Official Advancement Structure Easy as 1…2...3 WPTAPL Locations host a venue specific 12 week series with a Venue Series Championship (VSC) held on the 13th week (coinciding with 1st week of the new series). VSC events automatically advance the top 2 players, with 3rd and 4th advancing if enough sessions are held in the series. Top finishers advance to the WPT Amateur Championship (WPTAC) to play for prizes including a $10K WPT event buy-in and more! Members earn Live Play Credits (LPC) when finishing in the top 3 at any WPTAPL event and ranking points when finishing in the top 16. LPC and ranking points qualify members for special events such as weekly, monthly and quarterly online events awarding prizes such as cash, Vacations, WPTAC invitations, World Poker Tour experiences and more. Step 1: Daily/Weekly Tournaments: Venues can host poker up to 7 nights each week with up to 4 tournaments held daily. Live Play Credits are awarded to the top 3 (1st = 3 LPC, 2nd = 2 LPC, 3rd = 1 LPC) and ranking points to the top 16. Single Table Sit-N-Go events – Participating locations host Sit-N-Go events in conjunction with their nightly tournaments. 1st place earns one (1) LPC – no ranking points are issued for Sit-N-Go events. Step 2a: Venue Series Championship (VSC): Qualifying period: 12 weeks. LPC needed: 5 VSC events invite all members with 5 or more LPC earned in the series. Additionally the top 20 points earners who DID NOT qualify via LPC are invited. Top finishers advance to the World Poker Tour Amateur Championship as provided for below: Points earned the day of a VSC may not by included in series totals. 12 – 23 Sanctioned Events held = Top 2 advance. 24 – 47 Sanctioned Events held = Top 3 advance. 48 Sanctioned Events or more = Top 4 advance. Step 2b: Point Champions Tournament (PCT): Qualifying period: 6 months. LPC needed: None The top 3 point earners from any 12 week Venue series (series will include the VSC) will advance to the PCT held online for the qualifying period in which the VSC was held. PCT #1 – held in July: VSC events held between January 1st - June 30th will qualify the top 3 point earners from the preceding series. Top 100 will advance to the WPTAC! PCT #2 – held in January: VSC events held from July 1st - December 31st will qualify the top 3 point earners from the preceding series. Top 100 will advance to the WPTAC! Step 3! World Poker Tour Amateur Championship (WPTAC): Qualifying period: 12 months The WPTAC is an invite only event. Earn your invitation through many ways to play for prizes including but not limited to: WPT $10K seats, WPT Regional Event Seats, WPT & WPTAPL Poker Cruises, Vacation packages and more! ADDITIONAL EVENTS ---- Live Play Events ---National Championship: Qualifying period 365 day Countries may elect, though NOT required, to host County specific Championship events to crown a National Champion. Check with your local League to find out if what is being hosted in your Country. Regional Points Championship: Qualifying period 90 – 180 days Regions may elect, although NOT a required, to host RPC events on a 180 day basis inviting top point earners from the qualifying period. These events will advance the top 5% of invitees. (Ex: 100 invitees = 5 advance) to the WPTAC. Check with your local League to find out if RPC events are being hosted in your region. Regional Sit-N-Go Championship: Qualifying period 90 – 180 days Regions may elect, although NOT a required, to host Sit-N-Go Championship events awarding advancement to the WPTAC. Winners of daily Sit-N-Go events in the qualifying period will play in this event. Check with your local League to find out if Sit-N-Go events are being hosted in your region. ---- WPTAPL Online Events ---Platinum members automatically qualify for most online events BUT, must still qualify for Tier 2 prizing. Earn the necessary Live Play Credits (LPC) to Qualify for Tier 2 prizing! (Example: Tier 2 will pay $90 to 1st place - Tier 1 pays $45 to 1st place,) Weekly Free Rolls – Qualifying period: 14 days. Member only weekly Free Rolls award up to $700 weekly. Platinum members automatically play BUT, need 2 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 2 prizing. Basic members must earn 2 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 1 and 4 to play for Tier 2. VIP Monthly Championship – Qualifying period: 30 days Platinum members automatically play BUT, need 5 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 2 prizing. Basic members must earn 5 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 1 and 10 to play for Tier 2. This “winner-take-all” event held monthly awards such prizes as: Tier 2 = $500 Travel Voucher* good for any destination of choice. Tier 1 = $150 Travel Voucher* to Las Vegas valid for 12 months. $1,000 Quarterly Online Reward Tournament (QORT) – Qualifying period: 90 days. Awarding a $1,000 cash prize pool paid to the top 16 and TEN (10) invitations to the WPTAC! 1st place also receives the “Don’t Just Dream It…LIVE It!” package*. Platinum members automatically play BUT, need 8 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 2 prizing. Basic members must earn 8 LPC in the qualifying period to play for Tier 1 and 16 to play for Tier 2. * Restrictions apply. See Official rules and regulations of each event for complete details on qualifying requirements and Tier 2 prizing. PLEASE NOTE: Tier 2 prizing is available to ALL members. Tier 2 prize value is typically double Tier 1 (Ex: Tier 2 will pay $150 to 1st place - Tier 1 will pay $75) When participation requires, events may be split into multiple sessions or days. ALL events are first come, first serve and subject to venue / table capacity. Points are applied to the region in which they were earned. Championship dates may be adjusted where Holidays conflict with tournament dates. Members who have earned an Invitation to the WPTAC may transfer their invitation at the cost of becoming ineligible to participate. Speak with your local provider regarding transfer policy. Venue Point Leader (Jan 1 – Dec 31) will be invited to the WPTAC ONLY if the venue was active for a minimum of 6 months, uninterrupted (no gap in play longer than 14 days), of the year. The Invitation will revert to the highest ranked member who has NOT qualified for the WPTAC. Region Point Leader (Jan 1st – Dec 31st) will be invited to the WPTAC ONLY if the region has been active for a minimum of 6 months, uninterrupted (no gap in play longer than 14 days). The Invitation will revert to the highest ranked member who has NOT qualified for the WPTAC.
