Tanks reduces the amount of hydrocarbon
and water vapour emissions that need to be
collected by the VRU. By reducing the water
vapour mass flow, less VRU freezing (upset)
conditions are likely to occur, reducing the
occurrence of flaring. By reducing the
hydrocarbon vapour mass flow, less
vapours are produced that need to be
burned by a flare as a back up to the VRU.

Flaring and less visibility by Landowners.
