The museum will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s
Day and will close at 3:00pm on New Year’s Eve.

Designed for elementary school teachers, this
workshop will focus on the effective use of
manipulatives to teach difficult math concepts and
the development of cross-curricular teaching that
combines math and art with the study of culture.

TEACHING REMEMBRANCE THROUGH ART
Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Designed for 6th grade social studies and all level
art teachers, this workshop explores the use of art
projects to teach cultural traditions of remembrance
by comparing and contrasting El Día de Los Muertos to
similar traditions in other cultures.

Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, 6:00pm-8:00pm
This workshop will address the key skills and critical
thinking necessary for student success when taking
standardized tests.
