Initio Earth Sciences was established in 1989. The firm was established in South Africa principally to develop
business throughout the African continent.
In the years since the establishment of the company, our goals have remained constant, moreover, our company
is pledged to:

Since the inception of the company, more than 100 projects have been completed throughout Africa.
Our company grew out of a need to provide professional services that would satisfy multinational institutes,
lenders and developers while maximising local resources. This has allowed us to compete at a local level.
Training of graduates and technicians is also undertaken, as well as local skills development particularly in
rural areas.

Our survey teams are all equipped with state of the art electronic survey equipment
and computing facilities, and each team is capable of operating independently from our
offices and as such can supply data directly to the client from remote sites throughout
the African continent.
Quality control for survey is managed by set tolerances (Client Specific), with all data
checked independently by our project managers (both on and off site).Survey
Equipment such as Total Stations are checked regularly at established baselines, and
levels are checked prior to daily use.
