Thank you for signing up for an adventure with Wild Women Expeditions! This year we are thrilled to be celebrating WWE's 25th Anniversary - in over two decades of offering a wide variety of outdoor adventures, we've had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of women on canoe and kayak trips, multi-sport adventures, hiking trips and yoga retreats. My first trip with Wild Women, long before I became the owner/Director, was a week of kayaking on the North Channel of Lake Huron in Northern Ontario. It was my first kayak trip and I was so nervous, but excited! That trip turned out to be one of the most empowering experiences of my life, and now kayaking is one of my greatest passions. I trust that you too will find your Wild Women adventure to be a joyful and empowering experience and seize the opportunity to grow as an outdoorswoman and build your confidence in the wild. This trip info package provides you with all the essential background info about your Wild Women trip - if you have any additional questions, please be in touch with us any time and we will do our best to ensure that you are comfortable and ready for your adventure! A desire to share our love of the outdoors, our sense of adventure and be in the company of other spirited women is what brings us together. This is the fertile ground that has produced and deepened many incredible relationships over the years and keep so many Wild Women coming back again and again - we are proud that almost half of our trip participants this year are returning Wild Women 'members'. So I warmly welcome you to the Wild Women community and look forward to connecting with you, seeing your pictures and hearing the stories of your upcoming adventure! This is the gateway to Connemara, where you will stay in Curra House on the shore of Lough Corrib, the second largest lake in Ireland. Over a light lunch, your Wild Women Orientation will take place and we’ll chat about your riding experience and what you can expect from your adventure. Then out to the stable yard to meet our ponies and horses to meet your equine partner. We will then show you how to groom and prepare your mount for riding. This is an essential element of the bonding process and helps to build up mutual trust and respect. Your riding skills will be assessed in an enclosed arena to ensure your horse suits your ability and experience. Changes will be made if necessary at this point. It matters to us that you feel safe and comfortable with your pony or horse so we will take as much time as necessary to get it right. When everybody is happy, we'll take a ride around the farm to help cement the bond and build up an appetite for a traditional Irish meal. Over dinner, we'll teach you some gaelic words and phrases before you retire to your comfortable bed for a well-earned sleep. Meals: L, D Accommodations: Farm House B&B Day 2: Brigtis Garden Ride Before breakfast, you will have an option of helping us to feed our herd of Connemara ponies or having a lie-in. After continental buffet breakfast, we make our way to the wonderful Bridgit’s garden. Brigit is another example of a strong and independent Irish woman. The name Brigit means 'Exalted One' and refers both to St Brigit, the powerful 6th century abbess of Kildare, and the preChristian Brigit, goddess for many Celtic peoples across Europe. Many of the stories associated with St Brigit are clearly pre-Christian in origin, so the two Brigit's are inextricably linked. After lunch at the Brigit’s Garden cafe, you will ride down quiet country lanes into the forestry making our way back to Curra House. Freshen up and get ready to explore the dining options in Galway City and enjoy some live Irish music. Meals: B, L Accommodations: Farm House B&B Day 3: Tower House & Highlands Ride As usual, you have the option to ease yourself into the day or to join us as we feed and check our Connemara herd. Today we will set off on a hack through the nearby hills and fields, exploring the different local landscapes and terrains. Our next stop is one of Grainnuaile's homes, Aughnanure Castle. This castle was built by the O'Flahertys c. 1500, close to the shores of Lough Corrib. In 1546 the O'Flaherty's motto "Fortune favours the strong" and the powerful Mayo O'Malleys Motto "Powerful by land and by sea", were joined in the marriage of Donal an Chogaidh O'Flaherty and Grainuaile/Grace O'Malley. Standing on what is virtually a rocky island, the castle is a particularly well-preserved example of an Irish tower house. Tonight, enjoy your evening meal in Moycullen village. 5 Meals: B Accommodations: Farm House B&B Day 4: Grace O’Malley - Queen of Connemara After breakfast we pack up people and ponies and head deeper into Connemara, through Oughterard and Maam Cross and past the stunning Inagh Valley to Ballynahinch. Tonight you get to sleep under the same roof that the pirate queen herself once enjoyed. The sixteenth century Ballynahinch Castle proudly overlooks the Ballynahinch river. As well as Grainnuaile, this castle has been the home of the O'Flaherty Chieftains, Humanity Dick Martin and the Maharajah Ranjitsinji. The island castle (crannog) was built in the fifteenth century by Grainnuale's husband, Donal O'Flaherty, and ruins are stiIl to be seen today from the Galway-Clifden road. Today we'll explore the castle grounds and the forestry, even ride up the mountain on quiet country lanes for spectacular views of Connemara. After the ride, relax in the many lounges of this castle hotel or grab a map and expolre the nearby trails. At Ballynahinch, you can choose to eat in the Owenmore restaurant or the Fisherman’s Pub. Meals: B Accommodations: Ballynahinch Castle Day 5: Kylemore Abbey & the Renvyle Peninsula After breakfast we prepare the horses for transport even deeper into Connemara. On the way we'll stop off at Kylemore Abbey, where you will be treated a tour of the abbey and Victorian walled gardens. Our ride today will take us from Kylemore Abbey out to the beautifully scenic Renvyle Peninsula. If the day is clear enough we will get a panoramic view of Croagh Patrick and the 12 bens as we ride through the quiet lanes of Tully Mountain along the Wild Atlantic Way. That evening, the award winning chefs of Renvyle House hotel will treat you to a 4 course meal after you have had a chance to use one or more of the many hotel facilities. Meals: B,L, D Accommodations: Renvyle House Hotel Day 6: Omey Island & Connemara National Park (Activities today will be in accordance with the tide) After breakfast, riders and horses will be transported to the Aughris Peninsula. We will start with a ride around the peninsula before we hack across the vast stretch of sand that allow us to explore the wonderful Omey Island and it’s history at low tide. This is also when you can take a dip in the Wild Atlantic Ocean. Lunch is served in the local pub after which we transport you to the National Park. For those wishing to explore the wonderful nature of Connemara or climb the Diamond Mountain, you will have a few hours to do so before being picked up again. Back at the hotel, relax with a book or use one or many of the hotel facilities before your dinner. Meals: B,D 6 Accommodations: Renvyle House Hotel Day 7: Departures Enjoy another Irish breakfast before the 11 am departure from Renvyle. Shuttles will be available to Galway City. Shuttles from Galway to Shannon or Dublin are available for extra. Meals: B Itinerary Disclaimer Wild Women Expeditions and our local partners intend to adhere to the described itinerary and this is only a general guide to follow on your tour of the region. Prepare yourself for at least 1 4-course meal at Renvyle – it’s divine! Snacks The Irish typically aren’t snakers, so if you would like to have a few snacks on hand, please bring them from home. Meal Times Ireland is like many European countries when it comes to meal times. Breakfast will be anywhere from 7-9am, lunches are late afternoon (2-3pm) and dinners are after 7pm. If you need snacks between these times, it is advised you bring some along on the tour. Water Water is safe to drink out of the tap throughout Ireland. A variety of freshlyprepared foods will be available throughout the tour. Meals are designed for omnivores, but the outfitter is able to satisfy vegetarians. Strict vegetarians/ vegans/ gluten free are advised to bring food supplements from home, as many specialty items may be unavailable. If you have food allergies or restricted diets, you must inform WWE as soon as possible. Review allergies and restrictions with your WWE Tour Leader, local guide and other operations staff during the orientation meeting or early on in the trip. 9 Pre-Trip Preparations Ireland Quick Facts Capital: Dublin Currency: Euro (€) Local Outfitter & Guides Our local outfitter is Connemara Equestrian Escapes and owner/operator Cathriona, takes special pleasure in showing visitors the unique Connemara area atop Irish bred ponies. Passports & Visas You are fully responsible for your own visa requirements, permits and certificates for your trip. It is the sole prerogative of each country or region to determine who is allowed to enter. Canadian consular officials cannot intervene on your behalf if you do not meet entry requirements. It is your responsibility to check with the Embassy of Ireland or one of its consulates for up-to-date information. **As fees and policies can change, we highly recommend that you contact your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements, or see your travel agent. It is the sole responsibility of the traveller to ensure that they have the most updated passport and visa information and that they travel with the appropriate entry and exit documentation. Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement Wild Women Expeditions is committed to taking excellent care of all of our trip clients, and WWE does NOT assume liability for any loss or damage to person or property in traveling to the location of a WWE trip or event, or during or after participation in the event. WWE trips may be operated using one or more local third party activity suppliers and we endeavour to use the best available suppliers, who offer quality equipment and follow our high standard safety procedures. Prior to participation in any Wild Women Expeditions program, you will be required to sign our standard Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement. Where WWE is working with local outfitters, you may also be required to sign the outfitters waiver. If you would like to see copies of additional waivers that may be presented for your signature on your trip in advance, please contact our office. Due to the element of inherent risk 10 involved in any outdoor adventure activity, we recommend that you obtain whatever personal insurance you feel is appropriate. Travel & Health Insurance Travel insurance is compulsory for all our trips when WWE members are travelling outside their home country. Documentation is required. Travel insurance must include adequate coverage for accidents, medical expenses (including any related to pre-existing medical conditions), emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance) and personal liability. We also recommend that you obtain adequate coverage for cancellation, curtailment, loss of luggage and personal effects. You are responsible for booking your own flights or other transport arrangements to the trip Rendezvous Point. These arrangements and any other independent arrangements that you may make that are not a part of the trip booked with us are entirely at your own risk. WWE accepts no responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage or injury to property or person in connection with such arrangements. Please be advised that you should wait until the trip is confirmed before booking your flights. Your tour deposit can be fully refunded for health reasons only if you have purchased cancellation insurance at the time of registration. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping, participating in optional activities, etc. and we also suggest you have access to emergency funds. Cash – It is handy to have Euros (€) on hands for pub meals and tips for guides. Traveller’s Cheques, Visa & Mastercard - Are widely accepted in Ireland. The major cards in Iceland are EUROPAY/MASTERCARD and VISA. Cash can be obtained at every bank branch as well as in all ATMs throughout the country. Please note that there might be a difference between the official currency exchange rate in Iceland and the exchange rate that the credit card companies charge. 11 Tipping – It is never expected, but like everywhere in the world it is appreciated. There is no obligation to tip your guides or tour staff but many participants do when they feel they provided great service. We are often asked what an appropriate amount is; most participants who provide a gratuity for their guides and tour staff usually tip 10-20% of the trip cost to be shared by all guides and staff. Emergency Contact Numbers Should you require any assistance during your travels with WWE, please contact us directly at the number listed below. You may leave the WWE number with family or friends should an emergency arise and they need to contact you while you’re on trip. Wild Women Expeditions Office 1-888-993-1222 (Canada/USA) 1-250-888-2194 (Outside Canada/USA) WWE Irish Guide – Cait - +353868342866 A Word about Alcohol & Drugs… We are committed to putting your safety and wellbeing first on all of our trips. WWE want to create a space together where all women in the group feel safe and empowered physically, spiritually, and emotionally, and we strongly feel that alcohol is not needed to create a fun, social atmosphere. We also recognize that some people have issues with alcohol consumption, who may have been affected by alcohol abuse, and we want to honor their option to be in an alcohol free space. Each WWE trip has a different tolerance for alcohol consumption and in some trip scenarios, responsible use of alcohol is permitted. This tolerance is based on many factors such as; location, accommodation types, local outfitter policies, activities etc. Alcohol in moderation is tolerated on WWE trips only when we stay at fixed roof accommodations, dine out in local restaurants or visit licensed establishments. WWE does not tolerate any trip participant to be under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants while participating in the outdoor activity portions of the trip. If your guide thinks that you are not in the appropriate condition to undertake the activity, for any reason, she has the right to decline your participation or may suggest a modified approach. The use of illegal substances/drugs are not permitted and any use of these will result in being evicted from the trip at your own expense. 12 We want you to have the best possible adventure and appreciate you helping us create an inclusive and healthy group environment that is about taking excellent care of ourselves and each other. Health & Fitness English horseback riding skills and trail riding (hacking) experience is required and a good level of physical fitness is necessary. You must be comfortable; riding 3-6 hours, averaging 20 kilometers per day; riding in various paces with a secure seat (if you can trot and gallop, you will be fine!); mounting (getting on) and dismounting (getting off); walking (a.k.a. hiking) up and down steep, rocky, uneven trails while leading your horse; tacking (putting on the saddle) Plenty of time is available each day to travel and see the sights. Most routes require a walk but cantering may be used in some locations at the guides discretion. WWE highly recommends that in the months leading up to your adventure, you take English style riding lessons or ride regularly to improve skills and build endurance. This will help you be more comfortable and relaxed on your trip. You can additionally prepare yourself by walking or running and/or stair-climbing, as this will all strengthen your legs. If you are affected by any condition, medical or otherwise, that might affect your or other people’s enjoyment of the trip, you must advise WWE of this ASAP and we encourage you check with your doctor about health and safety in Iceland. Weather in Ireland June in Ireland is typically nice, however like every other North Atlantic island, it is heavily influenced by the ocean winds and currents. Expect weather to change quickly here, but overall daily highs from 12-20°C and lows from 8 - 0°C can be expected. It can be warm enough to wear a light shirt, or cold enough to send you looking for your down jacket! Light woolens, polypropylene fabrics, and wind and rain-proof clothing are essential. Dressing in layers works best in Ireland’s changeable weather. Be sure to check the current weather conditions while packing! 13 Packing Checked luggage on airplanes can get lost or delayed on the way to any destination. Therefore, you should prepare for this possibility by wearing or carrying on the items that are essential to your WWE Adventure. While most clothing, gear and equipment can be replaced prior to your trip, there are some things that cannot. WWE recommends that you wear one complete outfit on the plane, including a long sleeve shirt, riding appropriate pants, underwear, socks, and riding/ hiking boots. In your carry-on baggage, you should bring your waterproof jacket, insulated jacket or sweater, toiletries, medications, camera, all paperwork, and a full change of clothes. Make sure you wear/carry your riding/hiking boots; wearing a different pair of boots on your trip could be very uncomfortable. o Throughout the 5 days of riding, your luggage is taken by vehicle between the overnight stops - only 1 piece of luggage per person will be carried in the vehicle. Please pack light and use soft sided luggage. Personal Gear & Equipment You are responsible for bringing personal gear and equipment. Below is a suggested packing list. Clothing □ 1 – Rain Gear - Waterproof Jacket o (Waterproof Pants optional) Look for waterproof breathable fabrics such as Gore Tex or other nylon types, with a well-fitting hood, pit and side leg zippers are highly recommended. Your jacket and pant should be big enough to wear warm layers underneath, and have good-sized pockets. MEC Tips □ 1 - Insulated Jacket (optional) o Bring a warm jacket for colder times (morning/evening). Look for something that is very warm (synthetic or down filled), but still light weight and will pack small, also makes a good pillow. MEC Tips □ 2 – Warm Sweaters o o Another part of your warm layers, a fleece or wool sweater. 1 for riding (a.k.a. being dirty and smelling like horse) and 1 for relaxing in the evenings (a clean one!). □ 2 – Riding Shirts o It is recommended you bring a long sleeve and a t-shirt. □ 1 – Riding Pants o 14 Ideally, bring English riding breeches. If you require an alternative, look for seamless, snug fitting, two way stretch garments made of polyester or other “warm when wet” materials. What you will want to avoid in any case, is pants that twist, wrinkle or bunch along the inside of your legs. □ 1 – Comfy Pants and Top o These are for wearing at the accommodation, and can double as pajamas. □ 1 – Set of Long Underwear (Top and Bottom) o o These are to be worn on cold/ damp days under your riding clothes. Look for synthetics (polypropylene and polyester). These are light and strong, absorb very little water, and are quick to dry. MEC Tips □ 4 - 8 - Underwear □ 1 – Pair of cycling shorts/ padded briefs to help reduce sore bums and chaffing (optional) □ 2 – Firm support and comfortable bras o Make sure it fits snug, trotting can be hard on the ladies! □ 1 – Swimsuit □ 1 – Set of street-clothes for travel or if you’re extending your stay Headwear □ 1 – Riding Helmet (Optional) o Helmets are provided, but your own is always best. □ 1 – Bandana/ Buff o To be used as a headband, ear warmer, scarf, sweat wiper, snot rag etc. Handwear □ 1 – Riding gloves (recommended) o Work gloves, biking gloves, or leather gloves Footwear □ 1 pair of Hiking or Riding Boots ~ you will be wearing these for 90% of your trip! o o o If you already have riding boots – they are comfortable, waterproofed and have a sturdy sole, then bring them. If you already have hiking boots - they are comfortable, waterproofed and have a small heel and sturdy sole, then bring them. If you have neither – WWE recommends hiking boots (day hikers) as these are more multipurpose than riding boots (you can use them on another adventure!). Look for waterproof and a small but distinguishable heel section. The reason riding boots have a small heel is to help prevent your foot from going through the stirrup and getting caught should you fall off. MEC Tips – Boot Fitting □ 1 pair of Walking Shoes or Sandals (optional) 15 o Bring one other pair of shoes if you feel like you would like an alternate set of footwear (that doesn’t smell like horse) to wear at the accommodation, and to travel home in. □ 4 to 6 Pairs - Socks o Thick and warm, wool or synthetic preferred. Accessories □ 1 – Sunglasses and case □ 1 - Small waist bag or fanny pack (to use when riding) □ 1 - Water Bottle (optional) □ Lots of ziplock plastic bags in various sizes, and a few larger garbage bags (for wet bathing suits, dirty boots, toiletries, etc.) Equipment □ 1 – Small Travel Pillow (optional) □ 1 - Duffel Bag or Soft Suitcase or Backpack o Please try to pack minimally as only 1 large item per person will be transported in the car. Other □ Electricity plug adapter & converter o Ireland’s power is 230volts, 50 HZ AC. You will need a the 3 prong (UK) adapter and a converter. Recommended MEC Adapter & Converter □ Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, razors, etc.) □ Prescriptions (Bring in duplicate and pack separately. In the event you lose a set of medication you will then have a spare.) □ Sunscreen, Lip Balm (with SPF) □ Personal First Aid Kit (should contain; Ibuprofen/ ASA, band aids/plasters, second skin, adhesive tape, anti-histamines, Polysporin, Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, throat lozenges, extra prescription drugs you may be taking). Be ready to deal with chaffing (ex. Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel, and/or Anti Monkey Butt Powder). □ Hand Sanitizer & Wet Wipes (recommended) □ Snacks (optional) □ Pencil and Notebook/ Journal (miniature, for trip log) (optional) □ Travel alarm clock or watch (optional) 16 □ Ear plugs (recommended for room sharing) □ Camera and accessories (recommended) o Small cameras are easier to use while riding and will fit inside pockets. Documents Checklist □ Passport with photocopies (for yourself, with someone at home) □ Travel Insurance with photocopies (for yourself, with someone at home) □ Airline Tickets (with photocopies for yourself, with someone at home) □ Cash (local currency is recommended, get at airport upon arrival) □ Credit Card (Visa and/or Mastercard with photocopies) □ WWE Trip Info Package □ Any entry visas or vaccination certificates required Resources for Buying Outdoor Gear & Clothing Mountain Equipment Co-op - Membership ($5 for life) is required. Wild Women members come from a wide range of backgrounds, yet we all share something powerful. We believe in honoring and respecting diversity and welcome women of all ages, sexual orientations, and identities, including transgendered women. As you travel on your group trip, you will be exposed to all the pleasures and maybe some of the frustrations of travelling in a group. We ask that you try to be understanding, flexible and self-sufficient throughout the trip and of the various needs and preferences of your group - patience with your fellow travelers is sometimes required for the benefit of everyone's travel experience. Please try your best to uphold your responsibilities as a group member; for example, if you are requested to be at a place at a certain time, ensure that you are there so you don't keep the rest of the group waiting. We have found time and time again that the very best trips we operate are those where the dynamics within the group work well - this only takes a little effort from each member. See the Wild Women Way (below) for our detailed philosophy! For Everyone’s Safety and Enjoyment WWE organizes trips in natural areas where the environment can sometimes lead to unpredictable conditions. To avoid possibly dangerous situations, both for our travelers and animals, it is extremely important that everyone obey rules and regulations imposed by the Tour Leaders and/or Local Guides and follow instructions given by them. Wild Women Expeditions’ Tour Leader, Guide or other representatives decisions will at all times be final on all matters likely to affect the safety and well-being of the trip. We reserve the right to prohibit any traveler from continuing on a trip with no right of refund if, in our opinion, that traveler’s actions pose a threat to the safety of others, to the wildlife, themselves, or if the traveler’s actions and/or behaviors are harming the enjoyment of the trip for others. Cultural Notes 18 Journey with an open mind - travel with a genuine desire to learn more about who you meet and what you observe. Appreciate all the cultures you discover. Be aware of the feelings of other people, to prevent what might be offensive behaviour on your part. Be sensitive about photography. Ask yourself why you are taking a picture and would you enjoy being photographed in the same situation. Cultivate the habit of listening and observing, rather than merely hearing and seeing. Realize that often the people in the country you visit have time concepts and thought patterns different from your own. This does not, make them inferior, only different. Try to understand and enjoy this difference. Respect and protect the natural environment. Instead of looking for just "stunning views”, look for the richness of another culture and way of life, along with the impressive history of the geological formations. Make no promises to people in your host country, unless you intend to carry them through. Enjoy yourself, but remember that an extravagant display of wealth is insensitive to local people who may have to manage on much less money than you have. Be conservative in your dress. You will get closer to people if you do not look very different. Share your ideas, rather than enforce them – we all have a method that works for us. Love, live and laugh – what a way to start and finish each day! Responsible Travel One of our core values is our deep care and respect for the environment. WWE, our partners and guides on this trip, are committed to ecotourism and fostering a greater appreciation of our natural world. While on trip we aim to leave whatever place we have been to in better shape than when we got there. We see being in nature not as if we are visitors, but instead as being at home and so treat it that way. WWE is a strong believer in environmental conservation and supports the actions of Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society through attending events and financial donations. WWE intends to follow the 7 Leave No Trace Principles on all trips. We encourage you to learn more, so you can help ensure our trips have minimal environmental impacts. The 7 LNT Principles are: ● Plan Ahead and Prepare ● Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces ● Dispose of Waste Properly ● Leave What You Find ● Minimize Campfire Impacts ● Respect Wildlife ● Be Considerate of Others 19 Post Trip Details WWE really appreciates your feedback. Your opinions really help us to adapt to changes and offer great trips based on your experiences. We are explorers, seeking Earth’s mysteries, fuelled by wanderlust. We seek snow-capped mountains, rushing rivers and ancient valleys, towering waterfalls and serene still lakes. We seek off-beaten paths that lead to endless vistas, where the whole world seems to open up before us with infinite possibilities. We seek peace and rest. We seek momentum and passion. We seek crackling campfires, singing to the stars, and belly laughs. We seek strength and sisterhood. We seek the beauty of burnt orange sunrises and shimmering full moons. We seek magnificence. We seek the magic of our wild wonderful world. And we find it, discovering more about ourselves along the way. Because we are wild women. All of us. We laugh. We listen. We set ourselves and each other free. We are Wild Women and this is our way... We listen. And “we” means all of us on this Wild Women Expedition. We're all in this together. And because we – you and me and all of us – are committed to listening, then yes, you can express yourself and please do. We need not be silent or shamefaced about asking for what we want. We are Wild Women. This is our place. We listen and we will be heard. We protect. We protect ourselves by being willing to speak up and be heard. We protect other women by steering way, way, way clear of all the “isms”. We never say anything homophobic, racist, classist, or oppressive about each other or to each other. That's how we protect each other and keep each other feeling safe and included. We protect our wild world. It's a campsite cliché - “leave it better than when you came” - it's our end and our practice. We respect the environment, so we don't litter, we don't destroy, and we do help each other out. (And we welcome better ideas about how we can do that.) We all lead. And we lead up, not down. We lead through contribution. We each contribute our personal strengths and skills: our storytelling, our wit, our mean skill with a paddle, our soft touch for someone struggling. We give each other, our guides and our hosts respect. And it is returned...because we lead with kindness. It's the Wild Woman way. We are free. Don't wanna wear a bra? No problem! No one's looking, no one's judging (hey, no judging!). Want to keep wearing your mascara? Glam up, girl! Dreaming of skinny-dipping at dawn? Make it happen. You are free. We are free. We support each others’ quests to be free. We trust. We trust that if we speak up, we will be heard. We trust that our guides know what they're doing (they do!) and will accommodates our needs and desires whenever safely possible. We trust our needs and desires. We trust our bodies, we listen to them, we do the best we can and if we have to stop, or rest, we do. And that's ok. It's more than ok: it's the right thing to do. We trust that this is not a race and there's no competition! We trust ourselves and each other to make our trip a safe and welcoming experience for everyone. We trust that we're going to have a stupendously good time. And then we make that happen. Your Wild Women Expedition is a spirited vacation and a great adventure.
