P892 Acumen Risk™
What Is Acumen Risk?
So what is Acumen Risk exactly? Acumen Risk is an integrated cost and schedule risk analysis tool
that integrates a project team’s existing risk register into a highly accurate risk-adjusted forecast.
Need to run a quick schedule risk analysis? Need to build a fully integrated cost/schedule risk
model incorporating risk events and mitigation plans? No problem. Acumen Risk is designed to
accommodate both ends of the spectrum.
On one hand, Acumen Risk is incredibly powerful, analyzing thousands of activities in seconds
while accounting for scope uncertainty, work complexity, risk events and opportunities. On the
other hand, it is user friendly eliminating the statistical and logical complexities of building risk
models against large project schedules.
Usability
Acumen Risk simplifies traditional complex statistical inputs and uses native schedule without the
need for a manually created summary schedule. Acumen Risk uses parallel processing significantly
reducing analysis time and geared towards collaborative risk workshops. It uses industry standard
templates for risk loading.
Analysis
Acumen Risk provides risk readiness assessments including schedule checking and improvement.
Acumen Risk provides integrated cost/schedule risk analysis without the need for a cost/resource
loaded schedule. It differentiates between uncertainty and risk events. Apart from that Acumen Risk
provides weather modeling and prorates risk event impact across multiple activities and
automatically overcomes Central Limit Theorem (benefiting large,
hierarchical schedules).
Integration
Acumen Risk integrates with Primavera P6 (XER, XML, direct integration to P6 R8), Microsoft
Project & Project Server, Excel and Deltek Risk +.
Reporting
Acumen Risk provides real-time insight into team's buy-in to the cost/schedule during risk loading.
It provides single click annotation of P-values & contingency. It differentiates between required
contingency and excessive float/buffer. Acumen Risk reports risk drivers in true duration/cost
context rather than % based. Acumen Risk offers scenario comparison in a single view e.g., pre- and
post-mitigated.
