Food for thought: GOLD in all its majesty and value is pretty useless when it’s underground. It has to be mined in the darkness (BLACK) and surfaced to the light for it to be admired and appreciated. If winning was easy everyone would win all the time, so let’s work hard and give value to the gold we possess. “MIJN HEIL ZIJN OPPIERIF” House Fees The house fees for 2015 will be R650; the amount has been broken down to cater for residence activities, which are as follows: Membership Fees Senior clothing Events : : : R350 R200 R100 No BURSARY, NSFAS or other forms of funding letters will be accepted. Only a receipt indicating that you have paid will be accepted. NB! No room key will be issued without this payment! ACCOUNT DETAILS TO USE AREAS FOLLOWS: 1. NB! I place high emphasis on the fact that no room key will be issued without this payment! You are reminded to not forget to include the reference number when paying. This is to ensure that your house fees are included into the Oppierif Account. In addition, it is important that you use your student number as part of their reference. e.g. (187 220 - STUDENT NUMBER) OR YOU CAN PAY IT EITHER AT STUDENT FINANCES “MIJB HEIL ZIJN OPPIERIF” Achievements As a residence we improved in leaps and bounds as such we have to appreciate the hard work we as a brotherhood have put in which is evident in the number of achievements. A special congratulation goes to our Outdoor Hockey team for defending their title for a second consecutive time. Furthermore, we would like to thank the rugby team which has made vast improvements in this past season by making it to the semi-finals. Our soccer performed well throughout the year just narrowly missing out on first place. In addition, to the vast improvements, is the big improvement our Serrie team has made by being runners up in the Serrie competition. The trophy cabinet is steadily filling up and with our consistent progress in due time it be filled up with vast amount of achievements. Therefore, let the rise of the yellow Bugatti not stop now, let us press on and not give up as we aim to breaking land speed records with the machine we possess. The years were we are known as underdogs are over, eyes are all on us and I definitely know we will not disappoint those who are watching. The time has finally arrived where we as a brotherhood have the opportunity to grab the success we have long been dreaming of, I strongly urge you to not sit back but to take an active role in making next year a more successful year for our house Food for Thought: “The only person you should try to be better than, is the person you were yesterday.” A quote that remind us to focus on our own development before looking at our competitors and the people around us. Forget the red Ferrari, the blue Porsche and the purple Lamborghini but instead focus on keeping the Yellow Bugatti as being the fastest car in the world. In conclusion, before one wins they have to believe and next year we are going to believe, after believing we are going to know and then after knowing we are going to see the Yellow Bugatti take off to greater heights.
