Student Senate Minutes SUNY Delhi Delhi NY, 13753 October 29, 2014 Vice President Romario Stewart called the meeting to order at 5:15 pm. Secretary Adam Matos took attendance. The following clubs were not in attendance: College Players and ATEC. Announcements WDTU: The radio club is having a “Yik Yak Attack” on Wednesday, November 5th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. They will be reading off the best responses on Yik Yak during this time. As a disclaimer: Please do not post any inappropriate or vulgar comments. Post meeting note: this event has been postponed and re-formatted. SPB: An event featuring, Scared! Ghost Hunters, will be held in Okun Theatre at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29th. A horror movie marathon will be held in the Agora on October 30th beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at around midnight. The movies and times are: Scream at 6:00 pm, Scary Movie at 8:00 pm, and SAW at 10:00 pm. IFSEA: 21 and Older Social will be held on October 30th. The theme will be Halloween and there will be a costume contest. Beer and wine will be available for $2 RHA: The Resident Hall Association is making grilled cheese sandwiches for campus students on Wednesday, November 29th from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. To order a grilled cheese sandwich please call 516-974-2698. Campus Pride: Campus Pride and Multicultural Club will be hosting a Halloween Party in Catskill Hall, Great Room on October 31st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The movie V/H/S 2 will be playing. Computer Club: LAN-fest will be held on Friday, November 7th from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please be aware that this is an overnight event. Food will be provided. Pizza will cost $2 and drinks will cost $1. Officer Reports Secretary Adam Matos, Student Senate Secretary  All of the rosters are almost in. I still have yet to receive the following: o ATE o Veterans o College Players  There were many announcements tonight and not all could be recorded. A copy of the announcement that is not sent via email or hard-copy is exempt from the minutes. Treasurer Kenneth (Ken or Kenny) Murphy, Student Senate Treasurer    College Players is to be fined $25 for last week’s absence. The only club that has yet to send in an Approved Signature Form is Horticulture Club. As a reiteration of last week’s proceedings, the absence fee from Student Senate is $25 and the late fee is $15 per meeting. Motions F2014-003 and 004 during the October 22nd meeting amended previous minutes to reflect those charges and each motion was approved during the October 22nd meeting. Old Business None New Business None Open Discussion “When are we getting the new senate tables?” The Senate tables are on the way, but, they are not a top priority at the moment. Other tasks are needed to be fulfilled before the tables are to be replaced. “The food in Mac Hall has not improved.” Please speak directly to Delmar Crim, Executive Director of CADI Services, if you have an issue with the quality of the food on campus. Advisor Student Activities Director, John Huber, is absent for the day. His role is filled in by Bari Marshall, Student Activities Associate and Director of Greek Life. If you are attending the Halloween Jam please be careful. No full faced masks are permitted. Masquerade-style half masks are acceptable. Do not bring any backpacks.
