Action Report on AOSA Study
✈
An AOSA Regional Aviation Advisory Group has been formed in 2013 to act as
a consultative body to co-ordinate and circulate information between airport
operators, users, providers of aviation services and regulators – Group has
met four times with actions in progress and excellent collaboration. The Group
includes the right level of representation from OSDG, RMWB, GOA, FMAA,
Transport Canada Nav Canada, Department of Defence, and Aviation Operators.

The Group will focus on sharing information, plans, processes related to the
conduct of safe and efficient air operations in the AOSA. All the
recommendations in the AOSA Study will be examined.

The Group will function by consensus in advising and making
recommendations regarding safety and efficiency improvements in the
AOSA Air Transportation context.

New Terminal Art Program

Gabriel Wong, of Edmonton, will design a terrazzo medallion that will be incorporated
into the floor of the main hall, at a central orientation point for both arriving and departing
passengers. Project will be modified due to schedule issues.

David Robinson, of Vancouver, will create a sculpture that will be suspended in the hold
room in the north end of the terminal.
✈
Liz Ingram, of Edmonton, will create an image that will be incorporated into a glass
partition wall at the south end of the hold rooms.

Lucas Seaward, of Fort McMurray, will create original artwork for the walls of the
airport’s board room and public observation deck.

More art opportunities are under consideration, including the Gabriel Wong revision.
