An diesem Wochenende eröffnete dieses unter dem Namen SKYKITCHEN Restaurant/Bar flavored by a.choice nach seinem Umzug in die zwölfte Etage des andel’s Hotel Berlin. Der höchste Stern in Berlins Osten Stern begrüßte unter großem Gedränge mehr als 500 Persönlichkeiten, darunter Schauspieler sowie Berliner Foodveteranen und Medienexperten der Berliner Gastroszene. „Frisch, unkompliziert und so kreativ wie Berlin“ – das ist der Leitsatz der Karte und der bodenständigen Handschrift des Küchenchefs und seines Teams. An der Grenze zu Friedrichshain und Prenzlauer Berg bringen Michelin Sternekoch Alexander Koppe und Küchendirektor Eyck Zimmer ab sofort von dienstags bis samstags neuen Berliner Raumgefühl auf den Teller. Das Ergebnis: drei spannende Menüs auf der Basis deutscher Produkte, modern interpretiert und mit einem globalen Touch. Die neue SKYKITCHEN vereint auf ungewöhnliche Weise die Gegensätze von Berlin. Der Blick der Gäste schweift wie über eine Bühne über die pulsierende Mitte, mit den Wahrzeichen Fernsehturm und Rathaus, bis hin zu den abendlich erleuchteten Häuserschluchten. Das Restaurant verfügt über 55 Tischplätze und acht Fensterbankplätze, gestaltet vom Architektur- büro Dreimeta. Mit direkt angeschlossener sky.bar positioniert sich die einzige öffentliche Location der Hauptstadt mit Panoramaaussicht aus dem Osten auf ganz Berlin als neuer „Hotspot der Berliner Kulinarikwelt“. This weekend, after moving to the twelfth floor of the andel’s Hotel Berlin, the restaurant reopened under the new name SKYKITCHEN Restaurant/Bar flavored by a.choice. Highest star in eastern Berlin welcomed an excited crowd of more than 500 VIPs, including actors, food veterans and media experts from the Berlin restaurant scene. “Fresh, uncomplicated and as creative as Berlin” – this is the philosophy behind the menu and the downto-earth signature of the chef and his team. Here, on the border between Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg, Michelin-starred chef Alexander Koppe and executive chef Eyck Zimmer are now serving up the new taste of Berlin every Tuesday through Saturday. The result: three exciting menus based on domestic products, reinterpreted in a modern way, topped with a global touch. The new SKYKITCHEN uniquely combines all the contrasts of Berlin. Restaurant patrons can let their gaze wander over the vibrant district of Mitte, across a stage set with landmarks such as the famous television tower and city hall, all the way to – in the evening – brightly lit high-rise buildings. SKYKITCHEN, designed by the architectural firm Dreimeta, has a table seating capacity for 55 guests plus eight spaces at window bench seats. The SKYITCHEN, along with the adjoining sky.bar, is the only place in Berlin to offer panoramic views of the German capital from the east – as a new hotspot on Berlin’s culinary scene.
