IT Application Specialist
My client is an established luxury company who are looking for an application specialist to join their
team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with 3-8 years experience with aspirations of
becoming an IT Manager in the future. This position will be responsible for a number of upcoming
application focused projects and will have the chance to expand their knowledge of project
management, vendor management and retail IT operations. This is an urgent hire as my client has a
critical business project beginning from January 2017.
Responsibilities

* Analyze IT Related business issues and provide IT solution.
* Provide EDI integration solution for business efficiency.
* Managing vendors & coordinating with vendors who will be implementing a new POS system.
* Leading day-to-day IT application support.
* documenting business requirements and the implementation of best industry practices.
* Training store staff and back-office users how to utilize IT solutions.
Required skills
* Understanding of the business flow of retail or fast moving consumer good industry.
* Excellent communication with business users from outside of IT
* Fluent Japanese
* Knowledge of IT System development is a plus.
* Knowledge of SQL programming language is an advantage but must be able to understand SQL
code as a minimum requirement.
* Understanding of database systems.
* Ability to work independently but also be great at collaborating with peers.
Preferred experience
* Experience working with the retail industry would be a huge advantage.
* Experience and knowledge of POS systems is a plus.
* This position require a lot of communication with global offices so TOIEC score of more than 800
