And don't forget the scrumptious vegetables produced by the differences in the heat and cold of the summer and winter of Tokamachi, heaviest snowfall area in Japan. Koshihikari rice, Tsumari Pork, are just a sampling of local gourmet fare to be served along with the marvelous sake enhanced by those snows.We will be exposed to a collection of the Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale one of the world's largest international art festivals. There will be special booths of Akashi-Chijimi to view this exotic textile, a national treasure, and another national treasure the 5,000 year old flame type earthenware of the Jomon Period. Come and enjoy one of the most satisfying continued showcaseings of Japanese culture by visiting Tokamachi, Niigata Night. Try your hand at Mochi Tsuki--rice pounding, and take home a generous bag of Omiyage. Entertainment Committee 日本一の豪雪地・新潟県十日町市の夕べ 2016 年 11 月 2 日（水） 18:30 より 新潟県十日町市は、日本一の豪雪地です。 この豪雪からこの土地ならではの文化が生まれ、産業が育まれました。雪解け水は森林の有機質を豊富に含み、また 夏季の寒暖の差は、おいしいお米や野菜を作り、お米やおそば、地酒は定評があります。 また、豪雪地ならではの農耕生活から端を発した織物は、「十日町明石ちぢみ」をはじめとした織物産業へと発展 し、現在も染めと織りを生かした技術で、十日町市の産業の一翼を担っています。 また、5,000 年ほど前の縄文時代中期に作られたとされる国宝・火焔型土器が大量に出土しており、世界最大級の屋 外の現代アートの祭典「大地の芸術祭 越後妻有アートトリエンナーレ」を、3 年に 1 度開催しており国内外の観光客 が訪れるそんな街です。 当日は、十日町市の豪雪文化から生まれた郷土の食材を生かした地元料理、新米の十日町市の魚沼産コシヒカリ、 地酒や日本一の銘柄豚「妻有ポーク」などを召し上がっていただきます。また、十日町の着物によるショーや、餅つ き体験を予定しております。そして十日町市よりご参加の方々にお土産もご用意しております。 皆様のご参加を心からお待ちしております。 料金；3,500 円 ブッフェ、日本酒付（税込） 満席が予想されますので、お申し込みは今すぐ電話でフロントへ（３２１１）３１６１または On-line でどうぞ。 24 時間以内のキャンセルはフルチャージとなります。 エンターテイメント委員会
