The University of Konstanz
Studying at the University of Konstanz means living and learning on a university campus
geographically situated in a unique location. The university is located directly at the Lake of
Constance at the border to Switzerland in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany.
About 11,000 students of more than 92 different countries are studying at the University
of Konstanz. With more than 130 European partner-universities and many other
international exchange programs, the University is part of an expansive global network of
learning opportunities. Some of the university’s remarkable components, such as the 24
hours library, give the university its special and tantalizing qualities.
The University of Konstanz is well known for its manifold sports facilities. The college sports
program is one of the most popular offers at the University of Konstanz. Rankings affirm:
Nationwide, it is among the best sports programs of German universities. Traditional sports
are offered as well as popular ones. All kind of athletes are welcome, both professional
players and amateurs.
The Lake of Constance and the nearby Alps allow optimal conditions for aquatics, skiing,
mountaineering, mountain biking and hiking. Furthermore, the University of Konstanz is
one of the partner universities of elite sports and in 2009, was awarded best university of
the year by the adh (Allgemeiner deutscher Hochschulverband) – inter alia because of its
excellent dedication at Eurokanstantia.
About us
For the ninth year in succession we are pleased to welcome participants from around the
world to the shores of Lake Constance. Since 2006 we are in a friendly competition with
partner tournaments "Euromilano" in Milan, the "EuroEsade" in Barcelona and the
"Eurocritérium" in Paris. According to our motto "The better way to play", we will try to
host the UniSports events here in Southern Germany again this year with our usual
standards. We pay particular attention to the organization of the tournaments this year.
But of course, the side events such as parties and fun tournaments are not forgotten. As a
tournament with an international focus one of our main goals is to expand the crosscultural integration.
