RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Since commencing on my undergraduate degree in 1998, I have worked within the field of Psychology
and as a Psychologist Practitioner for approximately 14 years. I have a wealth of experience with
regards to working with children and families and in forensic settings as an Assistant Psychologist,
Trainee Clinical Psychologist and as a Qualified Chartered Clinical Psychologist. Since 2005, I worked
within a CAMHS team as an assistant Clinical Psychologist and then later as a fully-qualified Clinical
Psychologist where I gained experience working with children, adults & their families, within the
National Health Service. I am currently working part-time at a Forensic Mental Health hospital
alongside conducting private work.

REPORTS
I have conducted Expert Witness psychological reports for the Child and Family Courts with Carter
Brown since 2009 and have written and presented CPA and Psychological reports for Mental Health
Review Tribunals for Youth Offending Team, Cambridge (YOS) and to support the Responsible

FULL WORK HISTORY
November 2011 – Present
Clinical Psychologist at St. Andrews Men’s Service, Northampton
November 2011- October 2012
Clinical Psychologist working on a male Older Adult ward, with specific emphasis on
Neuropsychological testing and assessment and interventions for both Mental Health Act and Forensic
patients.
October 2012 to Present
Clinical Psychologist working on a Forensic Learning Disability (LD) male Adult ward, with specific
emphasis on Neuropsychological testing and assessment and interventions for Forensic LD patients.




Assessment, formulation & treatment, both individual therapy, group therapy and family
therapy. I am part of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Service (DBT); I use mainly
psychological psychotherapies Cognitive Analytical Therapy, Social Constructionist traditions,
Personal Construct therapy (PCP), Brief Solution Focused individual and Family Therapy (SFT)
and CBT, both traditional Beckian and Third wave – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,
with Mindfulness (ACT).
Neuro-psych and psychometric testing
Clinical risk assessments using evidence-based Clinical Judgement Tools, such as the HCR-20
and RSVP. I provide CPA reports; assessment reports for Mental Health Tribunals and am fully
trained in Autistic Spectrum diagnostic tools – Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
(ADOS).
I supervise and line manage Assistant Clinical Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, Nursing
staff and other members of the clinical team to provide pieces of work involving Cognitive
Analytical Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy models. I also provide regular reflective




The MST team provided intensive outreach family therapy, support and multi systemic
interventions for children, adolescents and their families who were at risk of family break-up or
incarceration. This involved comprehensive assessment, formulation and psychosocial
interventions
Many children & family members also had a dual-diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, mental health or
behavioural problems and/or drug & alcohol problems
My assistant psychologist role involved multi-agency working and liaison with specific systems
functioning around the child and family, including coordinating service delivery, creating
support networks, conducting and developing appropriate psychological and other social
interventions that could eventually be sustained by the family system
