Each employee is responsible for the smooth running of his
or her section and for keeping his or her competences up to
date in line with the IOC’s training policy.
In addition, each employee may be asked to take on
responsibilities other than those required by the job if
particular circumstances so require.
Main responsibilities
GL accounting

Responsible for GL accounting activities across IOC entities, take ownership of assigned entities
accounts at general ledger as well as analytical and project level.

Responsible for monthly closing activities, reconciliations and controls, including intra/intercompany
reconciliations/reinvoicing, Value in Kind recording, timely balance sheet and income statement
reconciliations, follow up and meet deadlines.

Ensures standard accounting and operating policies, procedures and process documentation is up-todate, aligned with IFRS and Swiss law, communicated, and implemented across IOC entities, including
analysis of new requirements impact on IOC.

Foster an effective communication, relationship, and provide customer service to both internal (Finance,
IOC departments/entities) and external stakeholders.

Ensure all controls assigned to the function are documented, executed timely, with quality and
resolutions of issues.

Responsible for direct & indirect tax (incl. VAT), comply with all external reporting requirements for
assigned legal entities.

Responsible for the preparation of financial statements of IOC entities (IFRS and Swiss law), including
reporting package, translations and reconciliations, consolidation and preparation of the notes.

Coordinate and provide assistance to internal and external auditors related to ad-hoc and periodic
operational & financial audits.

Participate actively to the key performance indicators, dashboard and exception reports processes

Manages SAP modules, including interactions with other ERP for the assigned entities, maintenance and
development of accounting hierarchies and mapping, chart of accounts, fx revaluations, trial balance.

Involve in the review and preparation of information used for external reporting and internal reporting.

Prepare pro-forma financial statements and other forecasts/projections as required.
Financial Planning and Analysis





Act as primary interface between finance and legal entities.
Devises and lead the budgeting and financial forecast processes, including managing and continuous
improvements on the tools and solutions.
Works closely with the budget managers in order to understand the operational aspects and supports
them in using the systems for financial planning and monitoring purposes.
Provide timely, accurate and high-quality reporting/analysis/recommendations/support for IOC
departments/entities; including on the gaps between the real and budgeted costs for the entities and
departments, the cost and revenue drivers, key performance indicators, budget, financial forecasts,
treasury flows, and other analysis as required.
Develop and on-going review of existing reporting tools and templates in order to adapt to changing
business requirements
Project Management



Lead in projects/initiatives for the finance department / IOC wide as assigned by the CFO and
management.
Provide support to the IOC Finance through tools/reporting trainings and providing guidance on technical
accounting matters.
Be a key driver of the company’s standardization, use, and continual improvement of business
processes including the company’s financial and management systems.
Training and language and IT skills







Accounting/Business/Economics degree (master) or equivalent and at least five years’ experience of
providing high-level support within an international or multinational company or big Four.
Professional qualification: Swiss Certified Accountant/US CPA/UK CA/ACCA.
IFRS (advance level) and Swiss statutory (advance level) is a must.
Fluent English and French.
SAP (CO/FI) experience, other ERP experience is an advantage.
Reporting capabilities such as SAP-BW or Business Object an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook).
