日本にホームステイに来た時に、
キャンパスを訪れました。
フリマをしている人がいたり、
ダンスをしている人がいたり、本当に自由な雰囲気が伝わって来て、
ここなら自分のや
りたいことができると思いました。2年生までは言葉の問題があったり、
周りとの画力の
差を感じたりすることも多くて、
想像してたような学生生活を全然送れなかったんですけ
ど、大学での活動やバイト・インターンを通して、
その壁を越えて行くことができました。

父の仕事の関係で、幼い頃に少しだけ日本に住んでいて、
その時に見たジブリアニメを
韓国に帰ってからもずっと見て育ちました。
それがきっかけで通い始めた美術高校が京
都精華大学と提携していて、1年生と3年生の時にオープンキャンパスを訪れました。

Due to my father's work, I lived in Japan in my early years. During that short period

my first year, I feel like I was a completely different person in my fourth year of
school. I believe that if you can muster the courage and take a proactive approach

1. 京都精華大学入学を選んだ理由は？
4. 日本での生活はどうですか？
台湾で通っていた泰北高校と精華大学が提携校で、高校2年生の時に精華大学の説

父の仕事の関係で日本に住んでいた時に見たジブリアニメがきっかけです。それがきっかけとな

1. 京都精華大学入学を選んだ理由は？
私は小さい頃からずっと違う国に行きたいと思っていて、10代の時にはアメリカへ交換
留学に行きました。その後、

1. Why I decided to attend Kyoto Seika University:
I had the feeling of wanting to go to a foreign country since I was a child. When I was
a teenager, I went to the U.S. through an exchange program. During my time as a
student at Kassel University School of Art and Design in Germany, I had the urge for
new experiences again and I wanted to go to a country I had not been to. I spoke with
my friend about this and we both agreed that we didn't want to go to an
English-speaking country because it would have been too easy. We were thinking
about far away countries that would challenge us with a completely diﬀerent

I understand everything about the culture because I grew up there. It is too easy. I
believe it's good to have the challenge of trying to understand another language and
the people. You could say that Japanese people are fragile and that European people
are very much about having strength, even towards outsiders. We are accustomed to
giving each other a lot of criticism in our culture. You cannot force your opinion in
Japan. Communication in Japan requires you to maintain harmony and try to circumvent any problem, always trying to reach an agreement in one way or another. In the
beginning, you don't realize things like this at all. You talk to Japanese people in a

people should take that opportunity to leave their own country and experience a
