questionnaire - What About YOUth

The What About Youth? study
Questionnaire topics
The What About Youth? questionnaire contains 72 questions in total, split into 11 questionnaire sections on
important subjects such as alcohol, smoking, exercise and bullying. This document details the topic of each
of the 72 questions so that you know what young people are being asked questions about.
Remember that participation in the What About Youth? study is completely voluntary. If a young person
decides to complete the questionnaire, they do not have to answer any questions that they feel
uncomfortable answering – they may simply leave it blank.
Please also bear in mind that not all young people will be asked to answer all questions. The questions that
they answer will depend on their experiences. For example, if a young person has never smoked a
cigarette, they will not be asked to answer the questions on frequency of smoking cigarettes and age of first
cigarette.
If having read this document, you would like further information about the What About Youth? study, please
