Location: Donauwörth
Start: September 2016
Duration: 6 months
Modern helicopters generate large quantities of data and current data collection programs are
set up to gather and order this information. Today some of available helicopter data is used to
improve maintenance or helicopter operations and globally for all aerospace it is estimated that
less than 1% of all aircraft generated data is being fully utilized. Goal of this project is to identify,
asses and analyses areas of where and how helicopter data could bring benefit for research and
development purposes and activities in modern helicopter industry.

Familiarization with:
- Research & Development methodology and activities of modern helicopters
- Concepts of helicopter flight data monitoring
- Techniques of advanced data analysis and processing
Anforderungsprofil
You offer:
- Enrolled master/diploma student within Aerospace Engineering, Computer Sciences,
Mathematics or similar field of study
- Experience, knowledge of (or high affinity with) machine learning and data valorisation
techniques
- Experienced in programming and highly confident in MATLAB/SQL
- English: fluent, negotiation
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work
independently.
