『平成８年の中央教育審議会答申においても、子どもたちに「ゆとり」を確
保する中で、学校・家庭・地域社会が相互に連携しつつ、子どもたちに生活
体験、社会体験や自然体験など様々な活動を経験させ、自ら学び自ら考える
力や豊かな人間性などの「生きる力」を育むため、完全学校週５日制の実施
が提言されました。
この提言を受け、平成１４年度から完全学校週５日制を実施しています。』

鹿児島県教育委員会は１９日、２０１５年度中に県内全４３市町村の全て
の公立小中学校（計７５２校）で、土曜授業が導入されると発表した。実施
日は原則第２土曜日の毎月１回で、学力向上を図るのが狙い。文部科学省に
よると、都道府県単位で土曜授業が完全復活するのは、学校週５日制に完全
移行した０２年以降、全国で初めて。』
