Admission free! „My monring‘s self would not know my evening‘s.“ This quote by André Gide already shows how strongly our biological clock directs the timing of behaviors that we take for granted - such as when we want to sleep, but also many more of our regular patterns. In our upcoming talk, Prof. Dr. Martha Merrow takes us not only on a journey into our bodies but also into the depths of history. We will see how deeply and thoroughly the clock program drives our physiology and then turn to what happens when the network of internal time is disrupted - and how this may have intervened in a critical moment in Bavarian history.
