ETH Risk Center Course Foundations of Behavioral Insurance Friday, 3 June 2016, 9:00 - 16:00 Sebastian Ebert, Tilburg University, offers a one-day course on the foundations of behavioral insurance. Topics include: • Behavioral finance vs. behavioral insurance • Behavioral biases and their relevance for insurance • Puzzles in insurance demand • Framing of insurance contracts • Prospect theory and insurance demand • Downside risk aversion and insurance demand This course is aimed for interested graduate students and practitioners. No prior knowledge of behavioral economics, finance, or insurance is required. The lectures are based on a course in Tilburg University’s curriculum for PhD students.
