So ein Leben als Maharadscha kann ganz schön eintönig sein. Da ist der
Hofstaat gefragt, dem Herrscher Abwechslung zukommen zu lassen. Ein
dahergelaufener Elefant kommt da gerade recht. Der hoheitliche Berater
lässt den Elefanten von Blinden betasten. Einer den Fuß, einer den Rüssel, der nächste die Ohren. Jeder entdeckt und beschreibt nur einen Teil
des Elefanten und schließt daraus auf die Gesamterscheinung des Tieres.
Life as a maharaja sometimes gets very monotonous. Then, the court is
expected to provide the ruler with diversion. An elephant has just turned
up and offers ideal material. The sovereign’s advisors get blind people to
feel the elephant; one the foot, another the trunk, and the next his ears.
Each one discovers and describes only one part of the elephant, and then
draws conclusions about the animal’s overall appearance.

In einem Youtube-Haul wird das neueste Handy vorgestellt. Stolz zeigt die
Youtuberin ihre aktuelle Errungenschaft und berichtet über die technischen Vorzüge. Irritation entsteht, als das Handy anfängt zu sprechen. Ein
kleines grünes Männchen im Gerät erklärt, welche kritischen Fragen nach
Umwelt und Gerechtigkeit mit der Produktion eines Handys einhergehen.
The latest mobile phone is presented on a YouTube haul. Proudly, the YouTube user shows her new acquisition and talks about its technical advantages. But she is rather irritated when the mobile begins to talk. A little
green man in the device explains what critical environmental issues and
questions of fairness go hand in hand with the production of a mobile.
