Completion scholarships for international doctoral candidates
The Goethe Graduate Academy (GRADE) awards two completion scholarships to international doctoral
candidates of Goethe University Frankfurt. The scholarships are sponsored by the STIBET programme of
the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The GRADE Completion Scholarships aim at supporting international doctoral candidates in the final stages
of their doctoral thesis (completion should be in 2016 or early 2017). Successful applicants will receive 800
Euro/month for the duration of 3 months.
The call for applications is open to all international doctoral candidates of Goethe University Frankfurt who
are members of GRADE. The following application documents should be submitted (not stapled) by June
30th, 2016:
• Cover letter, CV and a copy of the last academic degree
• Faculty letter of admission as PhD candidate at Goethe University Frankfurt
• Completed application form (www.grade.uni-frankfurt.de)
• The dissertation project should be introduced in a short essay of two DIN A4 pages maximum,
including a time schedule. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the feasibility of a
completion of their thesis in 2016 or early 2017.
• A letter of recommendation by the main supervisor that comments on the progress of the
dissertation project and confirms the suggested timeline ensuring the expected submission of
the thesis by the end of 2016 or in early 2017.

Abschluss-Stipendien für internationale Promovierende
Die Goethe Graduate Academy (GRADE) vergibt im Rahmen des STIBET-Programmes, gefördert durch den
Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD), zwei Abschluss-Stipendien für internationale
Promovierende der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
Die Stipendien dienen als Abschlussbeihilfen zur Fertigstellung der Dissertation und werden in Höhe von
800 Euro / Monat über einen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten vergeben. Es werden ausschließlich Bewerbungen
eingeschriebener Promovierender mit internationalem Hintergrund berücksichtigt.
Bewerbungsvoraussetzung ist ferner, dass die Bewerberin/der Bewerber Promovierende/r der GoetheUniversität und GRADE-Mitglied ist.
Die nachstehenden Unterlagen sind vollständig und in zweifacher Ausfertigung (nicht geheftet) bis zum
Ende des Bewerbungszeitraums am 30. Juni 2016 einzureichen:
• Anschreiben, Lebenslauf, sowie das letzte akademische Zeugnis.
• Bestätigung der Annahme als Doktorandin/Doktorand an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt.
• Vollständig ausgefülltes Formblatt zur Bewerbung um ein Abschluss-Stipendium für
internationale Promovierende (www.grade.uni-frankfurt.de).
• Das Dissertationsprojekt sollte auf maximal zwei DIN A4-Seiten vorgestellt und durch einen
zusätzlichen Zeitplan kurz konkretisiert werden. Aus dem Zeitplan soll hervorgehen, dass eine
Fertigstellung der Dissertation bis Anfang 2017 (innerhalb von etwa 6 Monaten) realistisch ist.
• Ein Empfehlungsschreiben des Betreuers/der Betreuerin, in dem zum bisherigen Verlauf und
zum abschließenden Zeitplan der Dissertation Stellung genommen wird.
