Sunayu (砂湯) is a unique and special place among
the hot springs near Lake Kussharo. There is a hot
spring in the sand on the shore of the lake. People
take pleasure in digging the sand and making their
own bathing pools.

The historic Washo Market is a collection of over
60 shops located in a portside marketplace. Enjoy
a bowl of "Katte Don" whereby you purchase a
bowl of rice then walk through the rows of stalls to
select your favourite fresh seafood as toppings.

Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park is well known among
flower fanatics in Hokkaido as a fantastic spot for
enjoying tulip blossoms. From May 1 to early June
every year, when the late spring comes to the
Okhotsk area, the Tulip Fair is held in this park.
Enjoy cruising along the steep jutting cliffs and
powerful falls of a completely hidden area covered
with bountiful forest and pristine nature.

Hisgashi-mokoto Flower Park is a must-see
attraction for flower lovers. Every year, from early
May to mid-June, the hill is covered with a pink
carpet of Moss Phlox flowers, commonly known as
shibazakura. During the month-long blooming
season, the bright pink flowers fill the air with a
sweet scent that complements the amazing view.

The Kurodake Ropeway connects Soun-kyo Onsen
up to the summit of Mt Kurodake in the
Daisetsuzan Mountains. The lift will take you up to
the 7th station, which is 1,984 meters above sea
level, so you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of
the mountain.

holds that a small island in the lake was named
Kamuish (an old woman in the shape of a god). The
emerald water of this deep caldera lake is believed
to be the clearest in the world.

There is the Onnenai wooden path installed in the
wetland. We can observe the plant of various
damp plains such as a reed, a sedge, a bog moss
and can walk one lap in approximately 1 hour.
The Shiretoko Peninsula located in eastern
Hokkaido. It is edged with cliffs falling directly into
the sea retaining truly wild feel. It is an area at the
lowest latitude in the world where sea waters
freeze seasonally. In this environment survive
various wild species such as the brown bear, Yezo
deer, Yezo red fox, Siberian flying squirrel and
white tailed sea eagle.

Lake Akan Cruise
Lake Onneto (オンネトー) is a small lake at the
foot of Mt. Meakan. With sulfurous hot springs
rising from the lake bottom, the lake varies from Lake Mashu
green to blue, depending on season and weather.
This has earned the lake the nickname of Iozan (硫黄山) is an active volcano in the vicinity of
"five-color lake." The name "Onneto" is believed to Kawayu Onsen. A few nice trails offer pleasant
walking around the mountain. This flat, well

Designated as one of Japan's best 100 waterfalls,

Oshinkoshin Falls is a spectacular waterfall just
next to the coastal main road from Shari to Utoro.
It was a very beautiful wide fan-type waterfall that
was kind of split in the middle by a tree-covered
rock as the water made its way into the Sea of
Okhotsk not much further downstream.

Odori Park is a park located in the heart of
Sapporo. Ōdōri means "large street" in Japanese. It
stretches east to west and divides the city into
north and south sections.At the eastern end of
Odori Park stands the Sapporo TV Tower, which
has an observation deck with nice views of the
park and the surrounding city.

Biei
Sakaimachi Street is an attractive, preserved
merchant street in central Otaru. Many of the
buildings along Sakaimachi Street have since been
converted into restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops,
boutiques and museums. There are also a few
glass workshops for tourists to enjoy a hands-on
experience in creating the local Otaru Glass.

The Former Hokkaido Government Office is
Hokkaido’s best-known symbol and the red star on
its exterior wall is the symbol of the Hokkaido
Development Commission. Constructed in 1888,
the building is an example of American
neo-baroque architecture. Architectural details
such as the warped glass created in the Meiji
Period and the heat-retaining double doors stored
in an ornamental frame exude functional beauty.

The Hokkaidō Shrine (Hokkaidō Jingū) is a Shinto
shrine. Sited in Maruyama Park, , the Hokkaido
Shrine enshrines four Kami including the soul of
the Emperor Meiji. The building for the shrine was
built in 1871.
