October 27, 2014 Dear Eighth Grader and Parents: During the next few months, you will be taking several tests in preparation for high school. I encourage you to do as well as possible on the tests, as they will have an important impact on your placement in classes next fall. On December 6 and December13, 2014, students are scheduled to take the Explore test at Lake Park High School East Campus. The schedule for each middle school follows: Session 1* - December 6, 2014 Medinah Middle Peacock Middle Trinity Lutheran Spring Wood Session 2* - December 13, 2014 Roselle Middle Westfield Middle Medinah Christian St. Luke St. Philips St. Walter Queen Of The Rosary Each student planning to attend Lake Park next fall must take these tests, which will provide us with information about your skills in English, Reading, Math, and Science reasoning. Students must report to the East Campus by 7:45 a.m. and enter the building through the front main entrance. Parents may park in the bus parking lot. Testing begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students must be checked into their test room and ready to begin prior to 8:00 a.m. Students cannot be admitted to the testing area after 8:00 a.m. Testing sessions will end at approximately 11:00 a.m. Each student should bring two #2 pencils, eraser, and a calculator. I strongly encourage all students to get a good night’s rest and to eat a healthy breakfast before the test. In closing, please note that the Incoming Ninth-Grade Family Night is Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
