The AMANO Group is a Berlin hotel company that was
established in 2009 by Ariel Schiff and Artur Süsskind.
It has the aspiration of designing hotels that do not act
as foreign objects of tourism but are integrated into the
city‘s cultural life. As a result, all of its establishments
pursue the following philosophy: First-class, urban living
in a central location at a fair price. This includes an
interior design decor and service offers that far surpass the 3-star standard. With the popular AMANO
hotel bar, the first Gin & Tonic Bar in Germany, the
MANI Restaurant, which was distinguished as the
„2012 scene Restaurant“, the APARTMENT Bar and
the DEAN club, the AMANO Group has also impressively
succeeded in acquiring an excellent reputation in the

Das Hotel AMANO ist das Flaggschiff der AMANO
Group, mit dem Ariel Schiff und Artur Süsskind ihr
Hotelkonzept 2009 zum ersten Mal in Reinform umsetzten. Der Erfolg des AMANO Hotels zeigt, wie sehr
sie damit den Nerv der Zeit getroffen haben. Das Hotel
befindet sich mitten in Berlin – eingebettet zwischen
Coffeeshops, Szenerestaurants und Designerstores.
Beim Eintritt begrüßt den Gast ein großzügiger Lobbybereich an den auch die beim Berliner Szenepublikum
beliebte AMANO Bar angegliedert ist. Im Sommer lädt

The hotel AMANO is the flagship of the AMANO Group
with which Ariel Schiff and Artur Suesskind first launched
their hotel concept in its pure state in 2009. Its success
shows how well they have captured the ‘Zeitgeist’. It is
located in the centre of Berlin, nestled between coffee
shops, trendy restaurants and designer shops. Guests
are welcomed in a generous reception area, linked to
the AMANO Bar, popular with the denizens of the Berlin
scene. In summer, the roof terrace with its open-air bar
and a unique panoramic view tempt them to a welcoming
drink. The design hallmarks of the 163 rooms and apartments are contemporary, purist clear forms, a restrained
use of colour and high-quality materials. The facilities
are rounded off by free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flatscreen TV and a safe. Small, exclusive extras such as

Die AMANO Bar hat es geschafft, dem etwas angestaubten Konzept „Hotelbar“ in Deutschland zu einer
kleinen Renaissance zu verhelfen. 2012 wurde sie im
Rahmen des Bar Convents als „Deutschlands beste
Hotelbar“ ausgezeichnet. Die Lust am experimentieren
kombiniert mit perfektem Bar-Handwerk und besten
Zutaten macht die besondere Klasse der AMANO
Bar aus. Schnell etablierte sie sich zu einer festen
Größe im Nachtleben der Stadt. Für manche ist sie der
Startpunkt eines Partywochenendes – andere lassen
hier den Tag entspannt ausklingen. Die AMANO Bar
befindet sich im Erdgeschoss des AMANO Hotels.
Im Mittelpunkt des Raumes steht ein mächtiger
Marmortresen mit einem opulenten SpirituosenBackboard. Entlang der Fensterfront bieten
Sitznischen die Gelegenheit, entspannt zu plaudern.
Die zurückgenommene Beleuchtung und das dunkle
Mobiliar sorgen für eine clubähnliche Atmosphäre.
The AMANO Bar has succeeded in bringing about a miniRenaissance for the somewhat hoary concept of the
German hotel bar. In 2012, it was named ‘Germany‘s best
hotel bar’ at the Bar Convent Berlin trade show. A love of
experimenting combined with first-class bar skills and
the best ingredients are what give the AMANO Bar Class.
It rapidly established itself as a firm favourite in the city‘s
nightlife. For some, it is where their party weekend starts –
for others it is a place to relax at the end of the day. The
AMANO Bar is on the ground floor of the Hotel AMANO.
An imposing marble bar with an opulent spirits backboard
occupies the centre of the room. Alcoves along the window
wall provide a place to talk and relax. The restrained
lighting and dark furniture provide a club-like atmosphere.

Mit seinem Rooftop Conference Angebot bietet das
Hotel AMANO für jedes Event die passende Location.
Vom exklusiven Catering bis hin zur kreativen Raumgestaltung setzt das Team alles daran, die individuellen
Wünsche des Kunden perfekt umzusetzen. Professionalität und bester Service sind dabei stets das höchste
Gebot. Insgesamt stehen fünf individuelle Räume mit
einer Größe von 28 bis 160 qm zur Verfügung. Alle
Räume bieten direkten Zugang auf eine umlaufende
Dachterrasse, die mit einem fantastischen Blick über
Berlin Mitte beeindruckt. Für klassische Business
Meetings, Präsentationen und Workshops stehen
zwei große, helle Konferenzräume zur Verfügung. Der
„Dining Room“, der Platz für 16 Personen bietet, ist der
perfekte Rahmen für exklusive Dinner, Weinproben
oder andere Degustationen. Wohnzimmeratmosphäre
pur verspricht der gemütliche „Living Room“, der sich
für kleine Zusammenkünfte wie z.B. Interviews oder
intime Gesprächsrunden eignet. Zur Begrüßung der
Gäste, die Kaffeepause am Nachmittag oder den
Aperitif am Abend ist wiederum der „Reception
Room“ der richtige Ort.
AMANO Rooftop Conference is the right venue for any
event. The team puts everything into making the customer‘s
personal wishes come true, from exclusive catering to
creative room layouts. Professionalism and first-class
service are always our paramount concern. A total of five
individual rooms ranging in floor area from 28 to 160
square metres are available. All of them have direct access
to a surrounding rooftop terrace offering a splendid vista
over central Berlin. Two large, bright conference rooms
offer enough space for traditional business meetings,
presentations and workshops. The ‘Dining Room’, which
will seat 16, is the perfect background to exclusive dinners
or wine tastings. The comfortable ‘Living Room’ promises
a pure homely atmosphere, suitable for smaller meetings,
such as interviews or small-scale discussions. The ‘Reception Room’ is the right place to welcome guests, take a coffee
break or for an evening aperitif.

HOTEL ZOE
Das Hotel ZOE liegt in der Großen Präsidentenstraße
direkt am Hackeschen Markt, und somit im Herzen
Berlins. Auch hier gilt das einheitliche Konzept der
AMANO Group: “erstklassiges, urbanes Wohnen zu
einem äußerst fairen Preis”. Das Hotel ZOE am Hackeschen Markt mit 88 Zimmern und 12 Apartments,
einer Bar im Erdgeschoss und einem großzügigen
Frühstücksbereich mit angrenzendem Wintergarten
ist eine weitere Bereicherung der AMANO Group. Die
Zimmer spielen mit dunklen Kontrasten, unbehandeltem Beton und warmen Lichtelementen und erzeugen

The Hotel ZOE is situated on Grosse Präsidentenstrasse
next to the Hackescher Markt district. The hotel captivates the visitor with its unique and special character, but
the standard concept remains the same: “first-class urban
living at a very fair price.” Situated in the centre of Berlin,
the hotel features a bar on the ground floor and a spacious
breakfast area with adjoining winter garden and fits
perfectly into the AMANO Group. The rooms play with
dark contrasts, untreated concrete and warm lighting
that work together to create a great sense of comfort. There
will be a rooftop terrace with a great view of the Berlin
TV Tower and the “Alexanderplatz”, giving the feel of

Das Hotel MANI liegt in der Torstraße – eine der

The hotel MANI is located on Torstrasse, currently one of
the city‘s most exciting addresses, attracting a colourful
international crowd to its many galleries, scene restaurants and bars. The building itself is characterised
by a purist style of uncluttered shapes and restrained
colours, combined with high-quality materials such as
real wood floors or leather wall coverings. Each of the
63 rooms has a bathroom with shower, air conditioning,
flat-screen TV, a safe, free Wi-Fi and a minibar stocked
with top-of-the-range spirits and premium soft drinks.
Laptops, iPads, x-boxes, can be hired from reception, and
guests should not miss out on the hotel‘s own bicycle hire

MANI RESTAURANT
Das MANI Restaurant setzt mit seinem kreativ-eleganten Stil einen neuen Akzent in Berlins Gastronomieszene. Chefkoch Octavio Oses Bravo präsentiert
hier eine französische Küche, die mit orientalisch
mediterranen Zutaten spielt. Das Kennenlernen
der Speisekarte gelingt am besten mit einer bunten
Auswahl von Vorspeisen („Chuzpeles“), die wie Tapas
in der Mitte des Tisches serviert werden. Vorspeisen
wie Calamaretti mit Wachtelei und Harissamayonaise
oder Blumenkohl mit Salzzitrone, Knoblauchbutter
und Mandel, klingen vielleicht erst mal ungewöhnlich, aber machen gerade deshalb Lust zum
Ausprobieren. Den passenden Wein zum Essen hält
das Serviceteam rund um Restaurantleiterin Klaudia
Boyke bereit. Dunkles Mobiliar, zurückgenommene
Beleuchtung, die offene Küche sowie der in grünem
Marmor eingefasste Kamin kennzeichnen den eleganten Charakter des Restaurants. An den Wänden
hängen Fotografien des MANI-Teams, portraitiert
von Oliver Rath. Bei schönem Wetter kann auch auf der
ruhigen Innenhofterrasse Platz genommen werden.
Wer lieber das Szenepublikum auf der Torstraße beobachten will, wählt einen Platz auf der Außenterrasse.
Im September 2012 konnte sich das Restaurant MANI
zudem über die Auszeichnung zum „Szenerestaurant
2012“ freuen.
The innovative, elegant style of the MANI Restaurant is
setting new trends on the Berlin eatery scene. Head chef
Octavio Oses Bravo serves up French cuisine, experimenting with Eastern Mediterranean ingredients. The
best way of getting to know the menu is to order a mixed
selection of starters (‘chuzpeles’), placed in the centre
of the table like tapas. Appetizers like Calamaretti with
quail egg and harissa mayonnaise or cauliflower with
salted lemon, garlic butter and almond are peculiar but
encourage the desire to discover the culinary range on
offer. Dark furniture, restrained lighting, an open kitchen
and a fireplace carved in green marble emphasise the
elegance of the restaurant. Photographs of the MANI
team by Oliver Rath grace the walls. Seating is available
outside in the peaceful courtyard, weather permitting,
and anyone wanting to watch the denizens of the
Torstrasse scene can sit outside on the terrace.
The MANI Restaurant celebrated the award of ‘Scene
restaurant 2012’ in September 2012.

Direkt gegenüber dem Berliner Hauptbahnhof eröffnete die AMANO Group im Sommer 2015 ein weiteres
Haus in Berlin: Das Hotel AMANO Grand Central.

HOTEL DÜSSELDORF MITTE
Das Hotel Düsseldorf Mitte wurde 2002 von Ariel
Schiff und Artur Süsskind übernommen. Im Jahr 2009
erfolgten die Eingliederung in die AMANO Group
sowie umfassende Umbaumaßnahmen. Das Interieur
Design des Hotels zeigt sich mit gedeckten Farben
und klaren Formen modern und doch persönlich. An
der kleinen Bar, die an den Lobbybereich angrenzt,
lässt sich gemütlich der Tag ausklingen. An schönen Tagen kann auch die Sonnenterrasse besucht
werden, die von morgens zum Frühstück bis zum
abendlichen Cocktail geöffnet hat. Alle 92 Zimmer
sind mit Flatscreen TV, Minibar, Klimaanlage, Safe
sowie einem kostenlosen WLAN-Anschluss ausgestattet. Innovative Serviceleistungen wie der Verleih
von Fahrrädern, iPods oder XBoxen erfreuen sich bei
den Gästen großer Beliebtheit. Für Businesskunden
bietet der modern ausgestattete Konferenzraum den
perfekten Rahmen für Tagungen, Konferenzen & Co.
Ariel Schiff and Artur Süsskind took over the Hotel
Duesseldorf Mitte in 2002. In 2009, the inclusion in the
AMANO Group as well as various renovations took place.
The interior design of the hotel is distinguished by muted
colours and uncluttered forms - modern, but personal.
The small bar, adjacent to reception, is a nice place to
end the day. The sun terrace, open from breakfast to
cocktail time in the evening can also be used, weather
permitting. All 92 rooms have a flat-screen TV, minibar,
air conditioning, safe and free Wi-Fi. Imaginative services such as bicycle, iPod or x-box hire are very popular
with guests. For business customers the state-of-the-art
conference room is the perfect venue for meetings,
conferences, etc.

The AMANO Group will continue to expand in coming
years, enriching berlin city life with new, inspirational
establishments. conversion of the building at Friedrichstrasse 113 has also started in 2013. 100 rooms at one of
Berlin‘s best addresses will then be ready for guests from
all over the world. In the summer of 2016 the apartment
hotel „AMANO Home“ with 50 apartments will open its
door.
