Press release to the GFFA Kick-off event Saturday, 4 January 2016, 13:30 – 15:00 hrs, CityCube Berlin– Hall A1 The kick-off event officially marks the launch of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) that, in 2016, will address the issue "How to feed our cities? – Agriculture and rural areas in an era of urbanisation". The event gives an introduction to the GFFA subject and thus lays the foundation for the diverse expert discussions that will be held in a wide variety of event formats in the days to come. The centrepiece of the kick-off event is a moderated panel discussion that, this year, will look at the impact of urbanisation on the cities and on the agricultural sector, embark on the search for successful urban development approaches and highlight what role agriculture and food security play in this.
