Press release to the kick

Press release to the GFFA Kick-off event
Saturday, 4 January 2016, 13:30 – 15:00 hrs, CityCube Berlin– Hall A1
The kick-off event officially marks the launch of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA)
that, in 2016, will address the issue "How to feed our cities? – Agriculture and rural areas in an era
of urbanisation". The event gives an introduction to the GFFA subject and thus lays the foundation
for the diverse expert discussions that will be held in a wide variety of event formats in the days to
come. The centrepiece of the kick-off event is a moderated panel discussion that, this year, will look
at the impact of urbanisation on the cities and on the agricultural sector, embark on the search for
successful urban development approaches and highlight what role agriculture and food security play
in this.
