Der Sommer 2021 ist besonders heiß. John ist auf dem Flug nach Calgary.
Ein Zwischenstopp in New York ist eingeplant, um letzte Scheidungsformalitäten zu erledigen. John und Elena sind schon lange nicht mehr zusammen. Als Eiskunstläuferin wurde sie zum Weltstar. Sie ist jetzt eine Eisprinzessin, die von einem Hofstaat aus Anwälten, Managern, Trainern, Bodyguards umgeben ist und von alten Vertrauten wie ihrem Bruder Michael
und der treuen Seele Betsy.
Am Flughafen erwarten John Mitarbeiter von Elena. Sie fahren zu ihr ins
Hotel durch ein New York, das von einer geheimnisvollen Epidemie heimgesucht wird. Ohne jede Vorankündigung brechen Menschen tot zusammen. Die New Yorker nehmen von den Toten kaum Notiz, sie ignorieren die
Leichen genauso wie die extremen Klimaschwankungen. Über Nacht
gefriert das Wasser in den Leitungen, während am nächsten Morgen wieder Hitzerekorde aufgestellt werden.
Die Atmosphäre in Elenas Team ist angespannt. Durch Zufall erfährt John
den Grund: Elena, die den Anforderungen des Showprogramms kaum noch
gewachsen ist, soll durch Klons ersetzt werden. Sie ahnt, dass ihr Leben in
Gefahr ist, wenn ihre Doubles bereit sind, ihre Rolle zu übernehmen. Als der
geheimnisvolle Mr. Morrison auftaucht, weiß sie, dass es höchste Zeit ist zu
fliehen. Zusammen mit John und ihrem Bruder Michael bricht sie auf, um in
ihrer alten Heimat ein neues Leben zu beginnen.
IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE
The summer of the year 2021 is particularly hot. John is en route to Calgary
by air. He has planned to stop off in New York in order to arrange the last
details of his divorce. John and Elena have been separated for a long time.
Elena made the big time in figure skating and is now a veritable ice queen,
surrounded by a court of lawyers, managers, trainers, bodyguards and trusted associates such as her brother, Michael and the ever-loyal Betsy.
John is met at the airport by Elena’s team. They drive to Elena’s hotel
through a New York that is currently in the grips of a mysterious epidemic
which causes people to drop dead without warning.The New Yorkers barely take any notice of the afflicted; they are as indifferent to the corpses as
they are to the extreme fluctuations in the weather, that can cause the temperature to drop below freezing at night, only to soar up next morning into
a boiling-hot heatwave.
The atmosphere is tense among the members of Elena’s team. By chance,
John discovers why: finding it increasingly difficult to meet the demands of
her show programme, Elena is to be substituted by clones. Elena realises
that, if her double is prepared to take on her role, her life is in danger. Once
the mysterious Mr. Morrison appears on the scene, she realises that the time
has come to escape. She takes flight together with John and her brother
Michael in order to start a new life back home.

Filmhochschule,errang 1994 eine OscarNominierung.1995 gehört er mit Lars von
Trier zu den Initiatoren des Dogma-Manifests.Sein nächster Spielfilm FESTEN entstand nach Regeln des Manifests und
wurde auf dem Internationalen Filmfestival
in Cannes mit dem Kritikerpreis ausgezeichnet.IT´S ALL ABOUT LOVE bedeutet Vinterbergs Abkehr von der Selbstbeschränkung
der Dogma-Filmer.

Born in Copenhagen on 19.5.1969.His
graduation film,SIDSTE OMGANG was
nominated for an Oscar in 1994.He was
one of the initiators of the 1995 “Dogma”
manifesto along with Lars von Trier.His next
feature film,FESTEN,followed the precepts
of this manifesto and received the critic’s
award at Cannes film festival.IT’S ALL
ABOUT LOVE marks Vinterberg’s last film
made according to the restrictions of the
dogma group.

L’été 2021 est particulièrement chaud. John est dans l’avion qui le conduit
à Calgary. Il a prévu une courte étape à New York pour régler les dernières
formalités de son divorce avec Elena, dont il est depuis longtemps séparé.
Elena est devenue une vedette mondiale de patinage artistique. Elle vit
maintenant en princesse des glaces, constamment entourée d’une cour
d’avocats, de managers, d’entraîneurs, de gardes du corps et de personnes
qui lui sont familières de longue date comme son frère Michael et la fidèle
Betsy.
Des collaborateurs de la championne attendent John à l’aéroport. Ils le
conduisent à l’hôtel d’Elena à travers un New York frappé par une mystérieuse épidémie. Les gens meurent foudroyés dans les rues de la ville et les
New-Yorkais ne semblent pas le moins du monde troublés. Ils ignorent les
cadavres avec la même indifférence que les soudaines variations de température qui font geler l’eau la nuit pour atteindre des records de chaleur
dès le matin suivant.
Autour d’Elena, l’atmosphère est tendue. John en apprend par hasard la raison : Elena, qui ne parvient plus vraiment à répondre aux exigences du programme du show, doit être remplacée par des clones. Elle craint pour sa vie
dès lors que ses doubles seront en mesure de prendre sa place. Lorsque survient le mystérieux Mr. Morrison, elle sait que le moment est venu pour elle
de s’enfuir. Accompagnée de John et de son frère Michael, elle décide de
regagner sa patrie d’origine pour commencer une nouvelle vie.
