Today Stemme AG announces a change in management in both the marketing and sales as well as in the
service department in order to enable better customer support and market requirements.
Stemme AG is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high performance and innovative
sport aircrafts since 1984, and is recognized in the industry for supreme design, performance and innovation
of fiber composite aircrafts exhibiting advanced aerodynamics, and state of the art technology.
The company is proud to announce and welcomes Mr. Henri Pierre Hirts as the new Director of Sales and Marketing (effective as of October 2015) to the Stemme management team replacing Mr. Lorenzo Costella who
will remain in the organization. Additionally has Mr. David Thimm joined the organization and team to take on
the position as Head of Service and After Sales with focus on the acceleration of handling processes and
overall quality.
The aim of the Executive Board is to meet and satisfy customer expectations and market requirements while
guarantying the best quality and customer product experience. The separation of the departments and associated management reorganization will ensure this target.
HENRI-PIERRE HIRTS
Henri-Pierre Hirts has worked in the aviation industry for over 30 years. He worked as an accountable for private air companies, interims manager as well as CEO in various medium-sized-enterprises. As a pilot with more
than 5,000 flying hours, he worked as a flight instructor and test pilot. Due to his experience as a certified quality manager and auditor for the aviation industry, he developed a broad understanding for the needs of the
aviation community.
One of his main goals at Stemme is to establish a brand experience satisfying the international demands and
desires of customers. "I want to continuously develop internal innovation processes to evolve the family of
Stemme aircraft. We will have to sharpen our international profile to succeed in winning new markets."
DAVID THIMM
David Thimm, glider and motor pilot at the age of 14 relies on his experience with customer requirements.
During his career he held various positions in the aviation industry where customer contact has always been
the central challenge. The decision to work for Stemme was taken deliberately. “I want to support and expand the professional service for new markets.”

The company recently presented a new corporate design and a new product (S12 Twin Voyager) for the
AERO Friedrichshafen.
S12 TWIN VOYAGER
The Stemme S12 Twin Voyager is a powerful single piston engine aircraft as well as an elegant high performance glider. With its wing span of 25 m and a glide ratio of up to 53 to 1, its reliable propeller folding into the
nose cone, and a new wing contour. This aircraft provides a flying experience no other aircraft can match.
But at the same time, it is a Voyager. The aircraft comes with an autopilot — that can be disconnected for
soaring flight however, it has a fully electric trim mechanism and comes with a state-of-the-art avionics package. With a MTOW of 900 kg (1985 lbs) and the reliable Rotax 914 engine enables travel over distances of
1,700 km (918 NM) to whichever destination you care to choose in comfort and safety.
The redesigned wing along with the vertical stabilizer and a wider undercarriage ensure better handling
characteristics. Additionally the aircraft is equipped with a luggage compartment in the fuselage and some
smaller ones in the cockpit.

Die Stemme AG bekommt seit Oktober tatkräftige Unterstützung sowohl im Marketing & Vertrieb als auch im
Service. Beide Kernbereiche des Unternehmens werden getrennt und können somit schneller auf Marktveränderungen reagieren. Ziel des Vorstands ist es so besser auf die Bedürfnisse und Interessen der Kunden einzugehen.
Henri-Pierre Hirts wird Nachfolger von Lorenzo Costella ehem. Leiter Marketing & Vertrieb und David Thimm
besetzt die leitende Position in der Abteilung Service / After Sales.
Der Positionswechsel im Marketing & Vertrieb hat zum Ziel die neue Vertriebs- und Marketingstrategie zu festigen und weiter auszubauen. Herr David Thimm wird sich hingegen auf die Optimierung von Bearbeitungsprozessen und schnellerer Abwicklung im Service und der Instandhaltung konzentrieren.
HENRI-PIERRE HIRTS
Henri-Pierre Hirts ist bereits seit 30 Jahren in der Luftfahrt tätig. Er arbeitete als Accountable von privaten Fluggesellschaften, Interims Manager sowie als angestellter Geschäftsführer in diversen mittelständischen Unternehmen. Als Pilot mit über 5000 Flugstunden war er unter anderem als Fluglehrer und Testpilot tätig. Aufgrund
seiner gesammelten Erfahrungen als zertifizierter Qualitätsmanager und Auditor für die Luftfahrtindustrie besitzt
er ein breites Verständnis für die Ansprüche der Fliegergemeinschaft.
Eins seiner Hauptziele bei Stemme ist die Marke erlebbar zu machen um den internationalen Ansprüchen und
Wünschen der Kunden gerecht zu werden. „Ich möchte interne Innovationsprozesse zukünftig weiter vorantreiben um die Familie der Stemme Flugzeuge stetig weiter zu entwickeln. Nur so wird es uns gelingen unser
internationales Profil zu schärfen und neue Märkte zu erobern.“
DAVID THIMM
David Thimm ist seit dem 14.Lebsjahr begeisterter Segel- und Motorflieger und auf Grund seiner Erfahrungen
mit den Kundenanforderungen vertraut. Während seiner Berufslaufbahn besetze er verschieden Positionen in
der Luftfahrtbranche wobei der Kundenkontakt stets die zentrale Herausforderung war. Die Entscheidung zu
Stemme zu wechseln habe er bewusst getroffen um den professionellen Service für neue Märkte zu unterstützen und auszubauen.

Spannweite von 25 m, einer Gleitzahl von bis zu 53:1, einem verlässlichem faltbaren Propeller und einem neuen Außenflügel bietet sie ein unvergleichliches Flugerlebnis.
Gleichzeitig fährt die Twin Voyager mit technischen Neuerungen auf. Das Flugzeug ist mit einem DYNON Autopilot, einer elektrischen Trimmung und der neusten State-of-the-Art Avionik ausgestattet. Bei einem MTOM

von 900kg (1985 lbs) und dem verlässlichen ROTAX 914 legt es bequem und sicher Strecken von 1700 km (918
NM) zurück.
Der neu designte Außenflügel sowie das Seitenleitwerk und ein breiteres Fahrwerk bieten verbesserte Handhabung. Weiterhin sind ein Gepäckfach im Rumpf sowie kleine Ablagefächer im Cockpit hinzugekommen.
