AP/UK/201505 House rules of the Goldenes Kreuz private clinic Dear patients and visitors, To make your stay at our hospital as pleasurable as possible, we kindly ask you to observe the following house rules. We care about your well-being – help us create an atmosphere of mutual respect! Rules for patients, escorts, visitors and staff (1) In order to ensure a successful treatment and smooth procedures, all patients, escorts and visitors are kindly asked to follow the instructions of the doctors and hospital staff of the Goldenes Kreuz private clinic. (2) Patients, escorts, visitors and hospital staff at the Goldenes Kreuz private clinic are asked to treat each other with respect and consideration, particularly regarding unnecessary noise and disturbances. (3) Except for designated smoking zones, smoking is prohibited at the Goldenes Kreuz private clinic. We particularly ask you not to smoke in patient rooms! (4) Every patient room is equipped with a safe for you to store your money and valuables up to a value of € 1,000. Any valuables worth up to € 3,000 should be deposited against a receipt with the admission office. The Goldenes Kreuz private clinic is only liable for money and valuables if they are locked in the safe or deposited with the admission office. (5) Patients, escorts and visitors are not allowed to enter the hospital’s utility rooms and kitchen. (6) Any deliberate or negligent damage to hospital property has to be compensated for. (7) Any objects left at the hospital that are not collected within 10 weeks after your stay will be given to a charitable facility. (8) In case of gross violation of the house rules, the hospital management has the right to order premature discharge of a patient or ban individual visitors from the hospital. In addition, all patients can consult the services of the Vienna Nursing and Patient Advocacy. The “Wiener Pflege-, Patientinnen- und Patientenanwaltschaft“ is independent and not subject to directives. The main aim of this institution is to protect and enforce your rights and interests in all matters regarding the healthcare and nursing sector in Vienna. Protection of patient rights The patient rights based on the regulations of the current version of the “Wiener Krankenanstaltengesetz“ (“Viennese Hospital Act“) are binding for all employees of the Goldenes Kreuz private clinic.
