中秋节源于一个古老的传说：相传在远古时代的射日英雄后羿, 从西王母处求得长生不死仙丹。但他舍不得撇下人间妻子嫦娥, 就将仙丹交给她珍藏。嫦娥藏起仙丹, 却不料被后羿的一个敌人偷窥。当此人欲抢夺仙丹之时, 嫦娥将它一口吞下, 随即飘然升空, 在月宫成仙。每年秋天人们祷祝月亮女神嫦娥。

今年的巴塞尔中秋节将于2015年9月26日
星期六在明斯特广场上举行。过去的五年
里, 共庆中秋已成为巴塞尔的一道文化风景
线。今年的中秋节将再次为当地居民和华
人同胞带来多元文化交流的机会, 体验欣
赏文明古国的传统文化,包括书法, 民族音
乐舞蹈及杂技, 练习太极和功夫, 品尝中华
特色美食等。巴塞尔中秋节源于巴塞尔与
上海的友好城市伙伴关系。这一互利共赢
的合作关系诞生于八年前并得到持续稳固
的发展。两座城市均是国际领先的知识及
生命科学中心, 具有很强的经济影响力, 并
在国际上享有文化中心的盛誉。除了中秋
节活动之外, 在这个城市伙伴关系的基础
上, 巴塞尔与上海还实行了多个合作项目,包
括尖端医药的研发合作, 文化, 职场及学术
交流等。

Am Samstag, 26. September 2015, feiert Basel auf dem kleinen Münsterplatz
das chinesische Mondfest. Es bereichert bereits seit fünf Jahren das kulturelle
Leben in Basel. Das Fest bietet auch dieses Jahr die Gelegenheit, die chinesische Kultur kennenzulernen, und schafft Raum für Begegnungen zwischen der
Basler Bevölkerung und der hiesigen China Community. Die Besucherinnen und
Besucher haben am Mondfest Basel die Möglichkeit, Traditionen aus dem Reich
der Mitte aktiv kennenzulernen: unter anderem Kalligrafie, Musik, Akrobatik und
Tanz. Auch Tai Ji und Kung-Fu stehen auf dem Programm. Daneben erwarten die
Besucherinnen und Besucher kulinarische Köstlichkeiten aus China.
Das Mondfest Basel entstand aus der Städtepartnerschaft zwischen Basel und
der chinesischen Metropole Shanghai. Die beiden Städte haben vor acht Jahren
die erste Vereinbarung unterzeichnet und eine für beide Seiten Gewinn bringende
Partnerschaft initiiert. Beide sind weltweit führende Wissens- und Lifesciences-Standorte, haben eine grosse Wirtschaftskraft und gelten als Kulturstädte von internationaler Ausstrahlung. Aus dieser Freundschaft sind neben dem
Mondfest Basel viele weitere Projekte erwachsen: etwa Kooperationen im Bereich der Spitzenmedizin sowie kulturelle, berufliche und wissenschaftliche
Austauschprogramme.
On Saturday, 26 September 2015, Basel will celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn
Festival on the small Münsterplatz. This fascinating event, which has enriched
Basel’s cultural life for five years now, will once again provide a wonderful opportunity to experience Chinese culture and bring together the population of Basel
and its Chinese community. At the Basel Mid-Autumn Festival, visitors can get
first-hand experience of the Middle Kingdom’s captivating traditions, including
calligraphy, music, acrobatics and dance. Tai Ji and kung fu are also on the programme, as well as Chinese culinary delights.
Basel’s Mid-Autumn Festival arose from the city partnership established between
Basel and the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai. The two cities signed their first
agreement eight years ago, thereby initiating a lasting, mutually beneficial partnership. Both cities are leading global centres of knowledge and life sciences,
have economic clout and are recognised as cities of culture with an international
flair. Aside from the Mid-Autumn Festival, numerous other projects have arisen
from this partnership, such as cooperation in the field of high-tech medicine as
well as cultural, vocational and scientific exchanges programmes.

Das Fest geht auf eine alte Legende zurück: Der Held Hou Yi erhielt von der
Himmelskaiserin ein Unsterblichkeitselixier. Er wollte aber auf der Erde bleiben
bei seiner Frau Chang’e, deshalb gab er ihr das Zaubermittel zur Aufbewahrung.
Chang’e versteckte es, wurde jedoch von einem Rivalen Hou Yis beobachtet.
Als dieser das Elixier stehlen wollte, kam ihm Chang’e zuvor und schluckte es
hinunter. Sofort schwebte sie davon und lebt seither auf dem Mond. Jeden
Herbst beten die Leute zur Mondgöttin Chang’e.
A legend tells of the origin of the festival: The hero Hou Yi received an elixir of immortality from Heaven. Preferring to stay on Earth with his wife Chang’e, he gave
her the elixir for safekeeping. One of Hou Yi’s rivals discovered the elixir and was
about to steal it when Chang’e snatched it from him and swallowed it herself.
She immediately floated up into the sky and has lived as a goddess on the moon
ever since. People pray to her every year in autumn.
