Besondere Fan-Lesung
in Altenkirchen
Frida, Melanie und Matai präsentierten alle
drei Emmi-Cox-Bände am 1. Advent auf der
Bühne des Altenkirchener Weihnachtsmarkts.
Diese besondere Lesung kam sehr gut an bei
den Weihnachtsmarktbesuchern, denn alle
drei Emmi-Cox-Fans versprühten wahres Entdecker-Leser-Feeling.

die neue Berliner Buchmesse
Frida, Melanie and Matai presented all three
Emmi Cox books on the stage of the Christmas market in Altenkirchen on 1st Advent.
The visitors of the Christmas market were very
pleased about this special reading since all
the three of the Emmi Cox fans were sparkling
with a real exploring readers feeling.
Ende November 2015 waren wir mit unserem
Stand und natürlich der Lese-Haltestelle auf
der Buch Berlin vertreten. Auf dieser Messe
tummeln sich ausschließlich kleine Verlage,
die man noch nicht so kennt. Daher lassen
sich hier auch tolle neue Bücher entdecken
–perfekt für Entdecker-Leser also!

the new Berlin Book Fair
End of November 2015, we were at the Buch
Berlin - with our stand as well as with our Cox
Reading Station, of course. This fair exclusively presents smaller publishing companies
that are not that known yet. Therefore, you
can discover great new books –perfect for
exploring readers!

Lese-Reise Berlin
Reading Tour Berlin
Im Oktober 2015 war Solveig Ariane Prusko
auf Lese-Reise in Berlin unterwegs. Los ging‘s
an der Friedrichsfelder Schule in Berlin-Lichtenberg, wo unsere Autorin schon Stammgast ist. Tag 2 fand an der Grundschule an
der Pulvermühle in Berlin-Spandau statt. Hier
las die Autorin den 5. Klassen aus „Reise um
den Salz-Kreis“ vor und nahm sich viel Zeit für
Diskussionen, vor allem zu den Themen „Israel
und Palästina“ sowie „Handynutzung“, einem
Punkt, der schon zu Beginn von Band 3 die Gemüter der anfangs noch müden Schülerinnen
und Schüler in Wallung brachte.
In October 2015, Solveig Ariane Prusko was
on a reading tour in Berlin. She started at the
Friedrichsfelder School in Berlin Lichtenberg,
where our author is already a regular guest.
Day 2 took place at the Primary School an
der Pulvermühle in Berlin Spandau. Here,
the author was reading from „Trip around
the Salt Circle“ to the 5th grades, and she
spent some time for discussions about
„Israel and Palastine“ as well as „use of mobile phones“, a subject which livened up the
first still tired pupils already at the beginning of
volume 3.
Die 4. Klassen der Berlin Metropolitan School in
Berlin-Mitte genossen jeweils einen Workshop
zum Thema „Digital Media“ mit der Autorin und
Verlegerin Solveig Ariane Prusko. Sie erzählte,
wie sie digitale Medien nutzt, worin Vorteile und
deutliche Nachteile liegen. Gemeinsam mit der
Klasse wurden jeweils einige Punkte für die
Arbeit mit digitalen Medien erarbeitet. Abschließend gab es noch ein paar Tipps zum Umgang
mit dem Handy, Tablet, PC usw., z. B. dass man
besser darauf verzichtet, wenn man für eine
Klassenarbeit lernen muss. Möchtet ihr mehr

The 4th grades of the Berlin Metropolitan
School in Berlin Mitte enjoyed a workshop
on “Digital Media” with the author and
publisher Solveig Ariane Prusko. She told, how
she uses digital media, which are the advantages
and disadvantages. Together with the pupils
some bullet points regarding the work with
digital media were elaborated. Finally, some
advices for the use of mobiles, tablets, pc’s
etc. were provided, e.g. that you’d better resign
its use when you have to learn for an exam.

Research for Emmi Cox, Volume 4
Der Herbst eignet sich perfekt, um Wacholder
zu erforschen. An nebeligen Tagen schaut
die Wacholder-Landschaft richtig schön mystisch aus. Somit ist klar: In Band 4 wird es
um Wacholder gehen. Kennt ihr Wacholder?
Die schwarzen Kügelchen im Sauerkraut, die
sehr eklig schmecken, wenn man drauf beißt?
Solveig Ariane Prusko hat bei ihrer Wanderung festgestellt, dass die frischen Wacholderbeeren gar nicht so schlecht schmecken.
Eigentlich sind es keine Beeren sondern Zapfen. Die Biologin und Heilpraktikerin Bettina
Brockmann begleitete die Autorin Anfang
Oktober durch die Wacholderwälder der Heide
und wusste so einiges zu erzählen über dieses
von Sagen umwobene Gewächs. Ebensolche
spannende Geschichten stammen aus der
Eifel. Hier gibt es sogar einen WacholderWanderweg! Den hat Solveig auch schon mal
für euch ausprobiert und hat unterwegs viele
Fotos vom Wacholder gemacht. Ihr dürft also
gespannt sein auf Emmi Cox, Band 4: Nebel im
Wacholder-Wald. Das Buch wird voraussichtlich im Dezember 2016 erscheinen.
Autumn is perfect for exploring juniper. On
foggy days, the juniper scenery looks beautifully mystic. Therewith it‘s clear: volume 4
will deal with juniper. Do you know juniper?
The black pellets in the Sauerkraut, which
taste quite yucky if you bite on it? During a
walk Solveig Ariane Prusko found out that the
fresh berries are not that bad. Actually, it‘s not
a berry but a cone. The author was guided by
biologist and healer Bettina Brockmann in
the Lüneburger Heide beginning of October.
She told a lot about this plant surrounded by
myths. Such exciting stories also come from
the Eifel. Here you can even find a juniper hiking trail! Solveig already tried that one and
made lots of photos of juniper. Therefore, you
can be excited about Emmi Cox, volume 4:
Fog in the Juniper Forest! The book is scheduled
to be released in December 2016.

Pepper Exhibition at
the spicy‘s, Hamburg
Seit 9. Januar 2016 gibt‘s im Gewürzmuseum
spicy‘s in Hamburg eine Pfeffer-Ausstellung.
Und Emmi Cox ist dabei mit Band 2:„Verschollen,
wo der Pfeffer wächst“. Die Ausstellung läuft
noch bis 31. Mai. 2016.

ist Casey. Am 28. November
2015 traf Casey die Autorin der
Emmi-Cox-Geschichten, Solveig Ariane Prusko, auf der
Buch Berlin und wurde hier
mit Fan-Artikeln ausgestattet.
Nicht ohne Grund, denn Casey
stellte Band 2 „Verschollen, wo
der Pfeffer wächst“ im Rahmen
einer Buchpräsentation an ihrer
Schule vor.
