Johanna Bentz und Jonas Römmig versuchen hinter die (Bild-‐‑)Fassaden des schönen Scheins zu schauen und entdecken die Krise mal auf den ersten, oft erst auf den zweiten Blick. „Crisis what crisis“ wird zu einer subjektiven Erkundung über Chancen und Ideen im wirtschaftlichen Niedergang eines Staates. Two German filmmakers travel to Greece. They want to shoot a film about what is left from the crisis in the country. What crisis can they find after the big pictures are gone? Johanna Bentz and Jonas Römmig try to have look behind the pictures and scenes. In their essay film they discover the different faces of the crisis on the first but mostly on the second look. „crisis what crisis“ turns out to be a subjective journey across the country. Along the way lie new approaches and ideas for a rundown state. About the project: We wanted to understand what was going on in Greece so we decided to fly there with our equipment. Most of the research was done in the country and everybody we met gave us new contacts. The result of this idealistic road trip is our no budget film "ʺcrisis what crisis"ʺ.
