Notification Systemic Risk Buffer (SRB) in Austria
Dear Madam, dear Sir,
The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) hereby notifies you, pursuant to Article 133 (11)
of Directive 2013/36/EU of the intention to set a systemic risk buffer (SRB).
In its fifth meeting on 7 September 2015 the Austrian Financial Market Stability Board (FMSB)
recommended the FMA to set a systemic risk buffer rate of up to 2 % of RWAs. The FMA’s
Capital Buffer Regulation implements the recommendation of the FMSB and takes into account
the expert opinions of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB). The regulation shall enter
into force on January 1, 2016.
