Ball Welding Technique
The novel KSV-12 ball welding system using short-cycle drawn arc welding in radially symmetrical magnetic fields
(Patent No. 10 2004 051 389) has made it possible for the very first time to weld alloyed and unalloyed steel balls
from 2 - 12 mm in diameter onto all types of metallic workpieces. It allows optimal welds with an excellent
decorative appearance to be produced.
Depending on the respective requirements and type of application, the steel balls are fed either manually,
semi-automatically or fully automatically into hand-held welding guns or automatic welding heads for stationary use.
The application fields of this welding system include the entire metal working industry and metal trade such as
 Automotive manufacture and vehicle construction
 Metal and steel construction
 Construction of apparatus, machinery and plants
 Metal goods
 Manufacturers of pressed parts, drawn parts and punched parts
 Metalworking shops
The innovative ball welding technique offers major user benefits and opens new fields of application.
