教養学部自然科学デパートメント
概要国際基督教大学（ICU）は、教養学部 1 学部と大学院研究科から
なる、キリスト教の精神と民主主義を建学の礎とする、日英両語
によるリベラルアーツ教育を実施する私立大学です。東京郊外の
緑に囲まれた環境の中で、日本および世界各地から来た 3000 名の
学生と 150 名を超える教員が共に学んでいます。
自然科学デパートメントでは、植物細胞生物学または細胞生物学
の分野で研究・教育に携わる教員を募集します。主な担当科目は、
学部においては「細胞生物学概論」や「細胞動態学」など、また
関係領域の一般教育科目と大学院科目も合わせて担当します。

雇用契約期間 ① 助教：5 年間（助教の契約期間が終了し、終身在職権の審査に
合格した場合は、引き続き准教授として任用される）。
② 准教授及び教授：規程で定める定年（65 歳）まで。

応募資格 1. 植物細胞生物学、細胞生物学あるいは関連分野の博士学位を有
すること
2. 英語で講義ができること（日本語の知識、または日本語を学ぶ
意志をもっていることが望ましい）
3. キリスト者であること（教派は問わない）
募集期間 2015 年 6 月 30 日まで（適任者がみつかるまで延期することもあ
りうる）
着任時期 2016 年 4 月 1 日、または 2016 年 9 月 1 日
選考方法書類審査を経て、模擬授業および面接を実施
採否の決定文書にて本人に通知

2. 研究業績リスト（現物の送付は当方から請求するまでお控え下

3. 研究業績を中心として本人の学術面に関する所見を照会でき

(Faculty Position in the Department of Natural Sciences)
Outline ICU is a private, bilingual liberal arts university with an
undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and graduate programs.
ICU’s educational mission is based on Christian and democratic
principles. ICU has 3,000 students from Japan and overseas. The
university is located on a wooded campus in the suburbs of Tokyo.
Department of Natural Sciences is pleased to announce the
beginning of an open search for a full-time faculty position in
Plant Cell Biology or Cell Biology. Courses to be taught may
include: Basic Concepts in Cell Biology and Cell Dynamics at
the undergraduate level as well as related courses in General
Education and the Graduate School.

Term of employment ① Assistant Professor: Five years (with the possibility of
promotion to Associate Professor after passing a tenure
examination at the end of the term).
② Associate Professor & Professor: Employment until the
mandatory retirement age of 65.

Qualifications 1. Ph.D. or equivalent in Plant Cell Biology, Cell Biology or a
related field is required.
2. Language of instruction: English (Knowledge of Japanese or
willingness to learn Japanese is desirable.)
3. Commitment to the University’s Christian mission
Deadline for June 30, 2015 (Deadline may be extended until a most appropriate
applications candidate is found.)
Starting date April 1, 2016 or September 1, 2016
Selection process After documentary screening, short-listed candidates will be
requested to give a lecture and to be interviewed.
