POW! WOW! was founded in Kaka’ako on the island of Oahu,
Hawaii in 2011. The event has traveled through Taiwan and
Long Beach and now ﬁnally launches in Japan! The massive
mural art festival will be held where world-class artists will be
spending one week to create a mural. On the ﬁnal night, Saturday October 24th, a block party will be held where art, music,
Hawaii and Japan fuse together. Please come and check out
POW! WOW! The project that keeps attracting people around
the world by transcending nationalities and generations. You
can also meet the artists at the venue! Please keep an eye on

An art supply lab PIGMENT is a platform to
nurture and support world-class Japanese
young artists, linking them with the producers
of excellent art materials. Selecting Japanese
brands exclusively, PIGMENT carries 4000
colours of pigments not to mention varieties of other art materials. PIGMENT is not a
mere shop to sell art supplies but is a place
where experts with extensive knowledge on
pigments welcoming the customer to explain
the characteristics of the products and offer
advices on how to use them.

三島喜美代の 1980 年代からのインスタレ
ーション作品を中心に、 13 点を 960 平米
の巨大な空間に一堂に展観。新聞や雑誌、
段ボールの商標などをシルクスクリーンで
転写した作品は、陶という素材を用いなが
らも、スケールの大きい作品に仕上がって
いる。約 50 年にわたる制作活動を経て、な
お進化し続ける三島の作品に衝撃を受ける

In a vast space of 960 m2, 13 works of Kimiyo
Mishima will be exhibited, including her installation works created since the 1980s. Her
silkscreen work prints the texts and logos of
newspapers, magazines as well as cardboards onto ceramic, which puts this familiar
material onto the art context. Having practiced art for 50 years, Mishima’s ever-evolving
artwork still inspires the viewers.

donation were that the collection must never
be exhibited or taken out of the museum.
Now, using the high quality digital data of the
collection, the world of Edo will come back
to life after 90 years as large-scale prints and
movies with sound effects. You will also enjoy
a bunch of Edo tales, which makes you want

Hirosuke Yabe has been internationally presenting sculpture and installation art created
using wood. His work makes the viewers feel
the life and death, which are ones of the universal themes of human being, as well as the
loneliness and anxiety that are penetrated into
societies. He also creates wooden sculptures
that look like objects such as buildings at
ﬁrst sight. For this exhibition, he will show the
latest 7 pieces. Please don’t miss it.
