Jomine Park

Winter cherryblossoms bloom from late October till early December in Jomine
park. Every year, when these beautiful flowers are in bloom, there is a special
illumination event in the evenings exposing their entire beauty to us.
Katakuri no Sato
Dogteeth violet mark the first sign of the
spring in Mt Iimori with its first bloom in
late March. They are usually in full
blossom from the end of March till early
April.

Jomine park. In addition to azalea, you can
see weeping cherrys and wild cherry
blossoms.

Located at the distance of about 1.3km
between Tosen Bridge and Simokubo dam,
Sanbaseki-kyo, a natural monument, is one of
the most beautiful valleys in Japan.

Shimokubo dam, built in 1968 and one of
the tributaries of Tone river, is a concrete
gravity large dam of 129 meter height on
Kanna River.

Kanasana shrine, believed to be founded by a Japanese folk hero Takeru
Yamato, is among the three shrines where a mountain is worshipped
instead of an object (go-shintai) such as wood.Go-shintai is the object in
which Japanese Gods, Kami reside.
Mt. Jomine
Located between Jobu natural park and West Chichibu natural
park, Mt.Jomine(1038m) is an attractive mountain for visitors
throughout the year. You can enjoy the beautiful natural
sceneries in every season like blooming wildflowers in spring,
fresh green leaves in summer and autumn foliage in autumn.

The main shrine is located in the middle of
Mt. Kami and the rear shrine is located on the
top of the mountain.Here, Takeru Yamato is
believed to dedicate an arrow for enshrining
Ooyamatumi as deity. The place is now
named Yano taken after this history.

New Year's day because it is famous for preventing bad

special surface which looks like a
mirror and has been caused by
slippng and frictionning rock faults.
Today it has been recognized by
the government as a special
natural monument of Japan.

Located within Kanasana shrine, Taho tower was chosen as an important
cultural heritage . The 14meter- high tower was founded in 1534 by
Zensho Abo praying for his descendant's hapiness.
Kodakara-yakushi
Natural erosion of the stone. This eroded
hollow is associated with female genitals,
thus the indigenous worship it as a symbol
to be blessed with babies.
Most of the men during this festival are dressed
only in a loincloth, are throwing boiled sticky
red and shouting ''up and down''. It is believed
that picking up and eating it is helpful in
exorcizing evil spirits, also easing childbirth.
The 1.7m height cave is located in Mt.Mitakes,
just in the opposite side of the observation
platform. It is believed that Benkei moved a
rock from the entrance of the cave.
Daikokuten is the God of wealth and
commerce, and one of the Seen Lucky Gods,
placed at the main hall of the temple. It is
believed, while you are praying and touching
the statue's head, your wishes might come true.

Jomine Park Campsite
In Jomine park there are 16 cottages and a campsite
for your own tent in which you can stay. Also there is
the restaurant 'Jomine', in which you can make a
reservation for breakfast or dinner, and buy some food
for BBQ.

find a lot of stores, lining up along many roads throughout Kamikawa ,
and selling pears directly by local farmers.In recent years, thanks to
direct sales and well-developed delivery service, pears grown in
Kamikawa become very popular throughout Japan.

In Yu YU there is outdoor recreation facility with
two baseball and soccer playing-fields. Also you
might join a target bird golf course, which was
given official approval.
矢納フィッシングパーク Yano Fishing Park
Located in the right shore of Toba river, you can go to Yano finishing park and enjoy
caching rainbow trouts. There is possiblity to rent or buy any equipment for fishing, so
you can come to the place without any preparation.You also might be provided wih
the place and equipment for grilling and eating the fish you have caught.
