3-5 形式主語 it… to 不定詞の構文
（１）名詞的用法の to 不定詞を主語にする
名詞的用法の to 不定詞は主語になるが「長い」ので、形式主語 it を使って to 不定詞の
部部は後ろに回す。これを「it …to~（不定詞）構文」と呼ぶ。ただし変形しても和訳は
変化はない。一見とても簡単だが、よく見落としてしまうことが多い構文だ。

［基本 1］
形式主語 it を使った文に変形してから、次の英文を和訳しなさい。

（２）意味上の主語を不定詞の前に付属させる
to 不定詞の動作を示す時は、前置詞 for + 目的格→to 不定詞の形で表し「前置詞 for 目
的格」を「意味上の主語」と呼ぶ。和訳は「∼にとっては、∼が」になる。
《設例 2》意味上の主語に注意して和訳を考えよう。

(テニスをするのは私には面白い)
【b】 It has become important for the people in the world to think about
the global warming.
(地球温暖化を考えることは世界中の人々にとって大切なものになった)
