この度OVER THE BORDERでは記念すべき10回目の、そして2015年最初の展覧会とし
て大村雪乃による個展「Perfect Midnight」を開催いたします。
大村はこれまでゴージャスな夜の街の景色を文房具のシールで描いた作品を多く制
作してきました。美しい作品のビジュアルと、その表現が素朴な素材から描かれて
いる意外性という明快なコンセプトで人気を集めている若手女性作家です。
漆黒の上に浮かぶ光を捉えたその作品は、「夜景を見る」という万人に共通する記
憶を刺激します。文房具のシールで彩られているにもかかわらず、その丸く縁取ら
れた色たちは街の煌きを、そして灯りの元で過ごす人々の姿を想像させます。
「Perfect Midnight」では新たな表現の試みとして、郊外の夜景を捉えた新作を展示
いたします。シールという媒体から生み出される光が、儚くも力強く灯る人々の営
みの美しさを感じさせる意欲作を是非ご覧ください。

1988 年中国、吉林省生まれ横浜育ち
2013 年多摩美術大学美術学部絵画学科油画卒業
美術家
主に市販されている丸いシールのみで夜景を描く絵画を制作する。
『遠くからみると夜景にしか見えないが、近づくとシールで描かれている』という目の錯覚を利用することで、安価な素材で
豪華な風景を描くという金銭価値のギャップや大量消費社会への警鐘を表現している。老若男女問わず多くの人から
支持を頂きテレビ、雑誌、新聞、書籍など多くのメディアにて活動中

OVER THE BORDER will host our special 10th exhibition which celebrates 2015 with
“Perfect Midnight “, a solo exhibition by Yukino Ohmura.
This young artist produces many gorgeous nightscape images using stickers for diaries and
day-planners. She is growing in popularity with her beautiful images created by a simple yet
surprising material.
City lights represented on a dark canvas inspire a common memory of “looking over a city at
night”. Although it’s created with only simple round stickers, these circular shapes and colors
call up an image of a twinkling city at night and the people living within. She presents her
new nightscape drawings of suburbs for “Perfect Midnight” as her latest work. You will be
fascinated by her images made of stickers, which cast ephemeral yet strong light and spark
the imagination for the beauty of human activities.

Born in Jilin, China in1988 and grew up in Yokohama
Graduated Department of Painting, Oil Painting Course of Tama Art
University in 2013
Artist
Yukino Ohmura compiles nightscape images using standard commercial circle stickers meant for calendars and
businesses. When you look from a distance it appears as a nightscape image, but when getting closer, you realize
it’s all been compiled by stickers. With this visual trick she expresses the gap for monetary value with this cheap
material used for to recreate a billion dollar landscape, and summoning messages about mass consumer society.
Attracting many people of all ages, she has been appearing in media such as magazines, newspapers and books,
and further expanding her activities.
