Region-focused Training Course on Vegetable Cultivation Technology and
Marketing Method for Small Scale Farmers 2015 starts
The opening ceremony of Region-focused Training Course on Vegetable Cultivation Technology
and Marketing Method for Small Scale Farmers 2015 was held at JICA Tsukuba on February 12,
2015. 12 participants from 11 countries came to Japan to attend this course and stay in JICA
Tsukuba. Especially participants from Samoa and Thailand attended this training for the first time in
a while. Their occupations vary widely and there are extension workers, researchers, seed producers
and NGO staff.
Dr. Zaitsu, the advisor of AAI, attended this ceremony and encouraged them to complete this
course effectively in Japan. In this ceremony, Ms. Thaisuchat Cheeranun from Thailand, as the
participant representative, expressed the determination to learn in Japan and to contribute to the
agriculture and farmers in their home countries.
All AAI members make concerted efforts for their achievement in this course, such as
development of vegetable cultivation technology in their countries, and knowhow and skill to solve
problems directly related to their works. And we hope they all love Japan.
