マレーシア・サバ州の学生 10 名が４教育機関合同の国際森林キャンプ等を通して日本の学生と
相互理解を深める

午前は、北海道博物館において、酪農学園大学小菅千絵特任研究員の案内により、オールセイ
ンツ中等学校の生徒と本校生徒、サバ大学の学生と酪農学園大学の学生でそれぞれ小グループを
作り、北海道の自然及びアイヌ文化を学び、最後には、各グループが学んだことを発表し合い、
自然と人間との関わりのみならず文化を含めた相互理解を図ることができました。

【博物館での研修について】
The visit to the museum was very interesting and I learned a lot of new things on the nature, history
and culture of Hokkaido. The museum was very interactive with lots of hands-on learning which was
suitable for both adult and children.
In the museum I saw a lot of similarities and differences between Hokkaido and Sabah. One similarity
is the culture of the Ainu People and the indigenous people in Sabah. In Sabah we also have a traditional
Jaw harp and string instruments. However, in Hokkaido there are fossils of large mammals such as the
Steller’s sea cow, mammoths and bison which are amazing to see. (Junia)
午後は、野幌森林公園において、酪農学園大学金子正美教授の案内により、北海道の冷温帯汎
針広混交林について学びました。その後、酪農学園大学の森林公園に隣接する合宿所で酪農学園
大学学生が中心となり、農作物の日本への輸出国との距離的な関係から持続的な食糧問題を考え
るネイチャーゲーを行い、交流を深め合いました。
夜は、バーベキューを行い幅広い話題で盛り上がり、「楽しすぎてどうしよう！」「参加させ
てもらえてすごく幸せ！」など、言葉の壁を乗り越えて楽しそうに語り合っていました。マレー
シアの学生にとっては肌寒く感じる日でしたが、炭で暖をとりながら、「こうやってると体が温
まるのと同時に心の深くまでが暖まるんだ、皆が繋がっているようで」といいながら、なかな
か合宿所へ入ろうとしないのがとても印象的でした。その後、用意していた寝袋で高校生グルー
プ、大学生グループに分かれて見学旅行のような雰囲気で寝床に入り友情を深め合いました。
翌朝（23 日）、朝食を一緒に食べて、国際森林キャンプは終了。その後、ホストファミリーと
一緒にそれぞれ市内見学へ向かいました。

【フィールドワークについて】
The field forest study is so so so amazing and filled with joyed and fun. I remembered we walked the
forest for around 3 hours where we studied and seen a lot of bird species, plants, fungi & insects as well
as the different forest ecosystem and vegetation which we got amazed by the Hokkaido natural
phenomena. Everyone was so passion to know the natural occurrence or organism in Hokkaido
particularly in Sapporo includes the Keisei High School. We are really really proud to have all the expert
teachers, professors and university students with us along the journey which made it so so memory and
joy! I would like to behalf all the student in Malaysia to say a big big Thank you to each of everyone
that we meet and everyone who assists and teaches us! (Foo)

この 2 日間は、学校種別に分かれて研修を行いました。
オールセインツ高校生は本校の授業に参加し、延べ 400 人以上の本校生徒とともに文化、自然、
科学、芸術を学びました。かなりのハードスケジュールだったにもかかわらず、オールセインツ
高校の生徒は、全く疲れた様子を示さず、積極的に明るい雰囲気で、本校生徒と交流を行ってい
るのが印象的でした。

英語の授業：両国の文化、自然、学校生活
等をテーマに話し合う
地学の授業：火山灰のはぎ取り地層を前
に、過去の火山噴火の様子を議論
音楽の授業：両国の音楽紹介の後、一緒に
合唱しながら心を一つに
書道の授業：筆の動かし方を手を取りなが

家庭科の授業：八つ橋を作り、京都の食文

探究の授業：環境問題を探究しているゼミ

【啓成高校での交流プログラムについて】
I really liked today's program. We got to share about our culture, ecosystem and school with the
Japanese students and interacted with them. They also shared a little about Japanese culture which was
very interesting as we learnt something new. The Japanese students were very kind and super friendly.
They also gave us some souvenirs to bring back with us. Even though their English is not that good, we

still managed to understand each other and had lots of fun together. It was great communicating with
them. We also got to experience the difference in classroom activities compared to Malaysia. All of us
had a good time! (Pevanraj)

【24 日の酪農学園大学での研修について】
At Rakuno Gakuen University, we were given a lecture by Dr. kawamura about GIS. In this lecture,
we’ve learn the easy step on how to use the software and how it can applied in various field of research
which related to our field of study. We’ve also got to experience hands on practical study using the GIS
software. Besides that, we also give a tour to the biogeochemistry laboratory and library of RGU. At the
laboratory, we were given opportunity to see the laboratory equipment and how they normally do their
work. Whereas, at the library we’ve got to see their library system and how it is different from UMS.
This program is very informative and I learnt a lot of things. (Norizati)
【25 日の酪農学園大学での研修について】
I have learnt a lot of things this morning. In this morning, we learnt about the remote sensing and
spectrophotometer. It was a great experience as in Malaysia do not have this kind of technology. I hope
in the near future Malaysia will have this kind of technology to help us in conservation effort. (Chaw)
25 日の午後は、サバ大学生も本校へ移動し、オールセインツ高校生と一緒に、本校の茶道部
が開催してくれた「お茶会」に参加し、日本の伝統文化である「もてなしの精神や作法」を学び
ました。本校生徒がゆったりとした雰囲気の中で流暢な英語で説明していたのが印象的でした。

出発が早朝のため、出発前日の夜は千歳市内で宿泊。26 日の早朝、それぞれの思いを胸に帰
国の途につきました。

搭乗ゲートへ、さようなら皆さん！
来年の１月には、本校生徒がサバ大学、オールセインツ高校を訪問し、科学交流を行う予定で
す。今回の受け入れを有効に活用し、両国の高校と大学の４つの教育体制の一体化を推進し、生
物多様性の保全等に貢献する人材の育成を進めて参ります。
さくらサイエンスの実施に当たり、支援していただいた酪農学園大学をはじめとする各教育機
関の皆様には感謝申し上げます。また、JST には、貴重な機会を提供いただいた事に、改めて感
謝申し上げます。
