The project of Caf Liustra that began in 2002 presents the space as an interface of art, and it has grown and being transformed over the years. For the exhibition in Nagoya, we will focus on the patchwork-canopy and the 1000T4UProject (collection of the teas and memories about them). Their prototypes were formulated at the workshop we had with the students from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music in Toride in 2003, and since then, they have developed through the exhibitions at Yamaguch, Japan (2004), Busan, Korea (2004) and Kelowna, Canada (2006). The collection of teas started at Busan Biennale 2004 and it continues at this exhibition. Masayuki Yasuhara is a musicologist with a specialization in Russian music history. He graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and subsequently received a Rotary Fellowship to continue his studies at Indiana University, where he studied both musicology and organ. He was a visiting student at Moscow State University during the academic year 1991-92. In 2001 he has spent six months as a visiting scholar at the Moscow Conservatory on a special grant from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Masayuki Yasuhara has published book chapters and articles on Shostakovich, Socialist Realism, and the relationship of twentieth-century music and art. ＊Yoshihisa NAKANO Born in Kagawa, Japan, in 1967. After completing graduate studies at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Nakano became an active artist. He has spent the year 1994-95 at the Templehill Community for disables (Templehill, Scotland) as a facilitator. Since then he had a strong belief in potential abilities of human being, and created a number of works that suggested invisible relationships among things and persons.
