WELCOME
INSIDE 3D PRINTING CONFERENCE & EXPO
24.- 25. FEBRUARY 2016
DÜSSELDORF
Welcome to Inside 3D printing in
Düsseldorf at Metav 2016
CONTENTS
This is the third Inside 3D printing in Germany and we are more than happy to
welcome you here at the great event. This show seems to be the most successful
show worldwide, so we are following those big events in China, Japan; US, Korea,
India and so on. This year we are in Düsseldorf and this environment offers a lot
of good opportunities for you participants and visitors of the fairs taking place at
the same time and very close by and integrated in each other.
A large variety of topics and presentations is coming together, you will find the
latest developments of big companies as well as inventions of smaller ones –
and not to forget, research and its funding is focussed here in Düsseldorf.
This year again we have great and well known experts from all over the world,
sharing their experience. We are very proud to have Jeff De Grange as Keynote
to speak about his experience and expectations from an industrial view! He is
one of those industry guys being involved in the main important AM companies
like Boeing or Stratasys. On the second day, Güngör Kara will give a visionary
presentation. Because of METAV we are focussing a little bit more on metals
this year. Very important in this field are the new developments in respect
of integration into the full process chain. So Daan Kersten’s insights into the
Additive Industry as well as the new approaches of Hermle, DMG, Lithoz and
Siemens (presented by Martin Schäfer) will be very interesting.
Additive Manufacturing is related to many well known big players which made
AM into a mature technology. A high for sure is to see BMW’s approach to AM
and also we will see EOS, SLM, Concept, Arcam and all those main players
presenting their developments and next steps!
And, last but not least, not to forget are those very interesting topics like Horizon
2020, Industry 4.0, Standards and the answer of the question, “how can a
business model work”.
This conference has nearly 50 sessions with three parallel tracks. We will see
big companies, technology suppliers and vendors, small and big players in
the market. After those 2 days you should have gained knowledge from the
presented experience and made contacts to all the important figures in the
market place.

DÜSSELDORF
it comes to the application of numerical optimization in industrial
applications. So we are performing optimization projects at every
major Aero and Automotive OEM.
Based on this we created INSPIRE, the only concept design tool
of its kind which is as easy to use as a smartphone app but brings
behind the scenes the experience of an optimization expert to the
table.
Adding a styling tool like EVOLVE in the process relieves the
user from many painful time consuming tasks. Embedded in
the process it can deploy all its power at its best. Adding new
functionality like the polymesh technology is accelerating the
process in an unknown manner.

SILVER SPONSOR
Ansys • www.ansys.com/de-DE • Hall 15, Stand F49 / 219

LZN Laser Zentrum Nord GmbH • www.lzn-hamburg.de
Hall 15, Stand F49 / 224 & CCD Ost,
Modellierwerkzeug ANSYS SpaceClaim neue Wege: Technologie
fertigen Prototyp. Das LZN arbeitet mit Unternehmen aus den
Bereichen Automobil, Schiffbau, Flugzeugbau, Medizintechnik,
