In our hospital, nurses are responsible for running the OrthoPAT system as many TKA procedures continue late into the night. Because every nurse is expected to be able to use the OrthoPAT system, an SOP that shows them how to operate OrthoPAT device safely needed to be developed. Therefore, in accordance with best practices for medical devices, we developed our OrthoPAT SOP documentation based on the device’s Operators Manual and Quick Reference Guide with Haemonetics’ support.
